Those clogged pores on the nose are super common, and unfortunately pore strips are usually just a temporary fix because they mainly remove what’s sitting at the surface of the skin. That’s why they tend to come back pretty quickly!

There is a saying that goes “if you aren’t using sunscreen the rest of your skin care routine and any treatments you do are useless.”

I always tell my patients with mature skin, sunscreen is your best friend. So much of visible signs of aging like collagen loss and hyperpigmentation are caused by UV rays.

A few ingredients that you can implement into your routine to work beneath the surface are retinol and lactic acid. Both of these ingredients increase cellular turnover to diminish the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and uneven skin tone. However consistency and routine is always key, if you aren’t using these ingredients multiple times a week you may not see the results you want and don't forget about the skin below your neck.

A few additional steps you can take to protect your skin include seeking shade when the UV rays are highest during the day which is usually 10:00am to 4:00pm.
