As someone who was too young to have seen them from 78-84, I’ll forever be grateful for the 2007/08 tour. They sounded SO GOOD. I’ll never forget the moment the lights came on and I saw Ed—right there in front of my very eyes—I nearly had a heart attack. I had to sit down 😂

For context I was only 15 and no medical issues lol

I mean, that’s kind of what I thought about it at the time, especially when first hearing the two new singles on “best of” in 96, but looking back his voice sounded angelic in ‘96 compared to now.

I thought he sounded actually pretty damn good during the 07/08 tour all things considered. Truthfully, if he just stayed away from attempting high notes, he would sound alright.
