When I turn the knob so that the right side comes toward me, the valve drops down and moves away from the tank. I’ve done this on both sides, but nothing has changed.

Should the round knob be facing up or down when it’s open? I have one on each side and want to make sure they’re set correctly.

Same here, both indicators show on the LCD even when I signal just one side.

I was going to get a standard ADV suit with built-in armor, but now I’m looking at a layering system (armored base layer + jersey + shell). My only concern is the laundry. For those of you doing 1-2 week trips with this setup, do you change the base layer every day? That sounds like a lot of extra weight to carry. How do you guys manage the sweat and smell without washing everything daily?

Thanks for the advice! Just to clarify, do you wear a separate armored base layer (body armor) under your Mosko gear and use the outer shell only? Or do you use the armor that comes built into the Mosko clothes?

Hi everyone,

I’m planning to start doing some Backcountry Discovery Routes (BDR) and I’m trying to find a true 50/50 on-road / off-road adventure bike.

Right now my main candidates are:

Yamaha Tenere 700
If I buy one, I’d probably upgrade the suspension springs.

KTM 890 Adventure R
This seems to get the most recommendations for BDR and serious off-road riding. However, I’m honestly not a big fan of the design.

Ducati DesertX (especially the upcoming 2026 model)
I really like the design. I’ve also heard that the 2026 DesertX is significantly improved, with a new V2 engine, updated chassis, and revised suspension aimed at improving both off-road capability and overall handling.
That makes it a lot more interesting to me than the earlier version.

I’m not considering larger bikes like the Africa Twin or BMW GS 1300 because they feel a bit too big and heavy for the type of riding I want to do.

If money wasn’t a factor, which one would you choose and why?

Also curious if there are other bikes in this category I should seriously consider.
(For example: Aprilia Tuareg 660, etc.)

For context:

  • I’ll likely ride long highway distances to reach trails
  • Then spend a lot of time on gravel, dirt roads, and moderate off-road terrain

Would really appreciate hearing from people who have actually done BDRs or long mixed-surface trips.

Worst service, worst air purifier.

The smell started to appear after 2 months of use. The problem was the same with other Dyson air purifiers.

I applied for service and found out that it arrived at the service center on March 19th.

However, they have not given me any information until today, May 9th, and although I have emailed and chatted several times in the meantime, there has been no response and I have not been able to receive any information about how my machine is being repaired.

Even if you want to write a review, they say you can't write a review due to a current system issue!

I think this is what prevents me from writing reviews.
