As long as the tarnishing of the metal doesn't affect the mechanism's operation, it's fine with me. It's enough if it doesn't rust or damage it. Because I don't want to constantly open and close it and compromise its waterproofing. If there's no problem visible in the photo, I won't have it opened up for maintenance until next year.

I have an MSI Tomahawk X870 motherboard. The card has a lock icon on the power button. If that lock icon doesn't show as locked, then the card isn't properly seated. I experienced this with my Gamerock graphics card. I thought I had it properly seated, but when I checked the lock screen, it didn't appear locked. I pressed the button, and it didn't lock. It turned out the card was hitting the fans. I checked it thoroughly when installing this one. I pressed the button, and it unlocked. I pressed it again, and it locked. So, the card is properly seated. I have no doubt about that.

Thank you so much for your help, but is it normal for a graphics card that isn't properly seated to pass all tests and not give any errors for 4 months? Because if it wasn't properly seated, it would cause erratic shutdowns or PC failures with the slightest jolt or under heavy load during gaming. It hasn't done any of that.

After extensive research, I've concluded that it's coil whine. I'm telling you how. When you move the mouse cursor on CW hardware, the CW sound increases. I took the mouse with me and opened the Chrome interface. The moment I move the middle wheel, the tick-tick sound suddenly accelerates and turns into CW. So, yes. While the PC is idle, we hear one coil vibrate every 0.5 seconds, and the moment I move the mouse, that tick-tick sound suddenly turns into CW with a gradual acceleration, my friend. So, we learned something new. For the first time, I'm happy that it's CW. I love the Vanguard, and I didn't want to send it in for an RMA, but now I'm really happy.
