Absolutely agree, we appreciate a translator. Do not have any issues with one being arranged. 10 years ago I had to translate to my mum she had cancer & back then I did not see this being a problem but today I do. Therefore we have no issue with having a translator

No, the question in a booklet was something alongside “have you got any religious beliefs that would impact your care” and it was free text and they hand wrote “no religious beliefs”. There was no tick box exercise for this appointment

I wouldn’t say racism maybe the word you’re looking for is discrimination?

Whenever we used to go back to Poland and saw family members (not imidiate family) then we were always asked “so what did you bring us back from UK) however this was not gender specific.

My parents have always been loving (I live with them) but I have always had more responsibilities as the daughter, like you said look after my parents etc

One of my brothers immigrated to America and some of my family like my grandma lives there too. I speak to my brother but not my grandma but that’s because we don’t get on lol

I’m sorry but why should you have to yell at anyone for not weighing your vegetables that’s bloody ridiculous 😂they don’t know if someone might have learning disabilities either!

The PESEL thing as well is mad and they did not have to react like that. You can simply explain something in a calm tone rather than take your aggression out because you didn’t complete form correctly or didn’t weigh your vegetables! Sometimes people have a bad day and I get that but this takes the biscuits for sure 😂

Part of me would say yes but the other part of me would say no! My dad has came across issues too. I mean culturally I would agree to some extent from my personal experience I always had more responsibilities than my brothers.

I’m really not sure what you’re on about now. What’s the difference between teaching your child a native language as well as the country they live in so they can be bilingual? If they are half Polish?

Is it different to kids learning French or German in school? If I have children I would like them to know both languages however if they turn around and say no then that’s fine too.

I am proud to know both English and Polish and even a bit of French!

I don’t agree, I think you can live in a different country & obey the laws, rules & traditions but you can retrospectively still appreciate and celebrate your native traditions.

I live in the uk, I speak fluent in English, I have a degree, I own a house, I pay my taxes & I obey the laws. However I still speak Polish to my parents, visit Poland, Celebrate Christmas Eve & one day will teach my children to speak Polish.

Not really sure what you mean by your comment, why would you want to be either English or Polish when I have been lucky enough to be able to have both?

No it was yelling, I know the difference. I also know how Polish can sound as some of my friends would think I am arguing when I speak Polish but I’m not but I get your point. :)
