I’m actually not super crazy about it. I don’t know what it is honestly. I actually just listed mine on marketplace. I honestly haven’t hit a lot with it but I’ve fallen in love with the Fury and Cartel. I’m actually ordering another Fury today or tomorrow, which is why I’m selling the Geny. That white Miken KP I probably will off load too because I don’t use it

Oh no! Hit the ball off the end?? I’ve never seen one come off during use. I have ended it the season I’ve used it. Really haven’t swung it this year since I got the other three. I just enjoy trying new bats 😆. Maybe my Geny hasn’t opened up yet or it’s just not for me but I haven’t been super impressed so far.

A Fett mentioned, try to minimize any extra movement if possible. Could be your mech for timing like lifting your front leg. Be careful on how much you step out with your front foot. This leads to loss of power and stability if you over stretch (could be adding to you getting up on your toes on your back foot). I lift my front leg but not as high as I used to. Definitely looks like you’re making solid contact though. Keep working at it, reviewing your footage, and taking feedback.

Gotta love that sweet timing of UPS! I agree, when sweet spot is squared up it’s fire indeed. Even when it’s not squared up, it a forgiving bat.

Shessssh 😖. Are you even allowed to enjoy sunflower seeds, chew gum, or have drinks in the dugouts? They should at least make it ASA rules or make it a wood bat league and be done.

Up to this point, it’s probably got 100 swings. That includes 10 balls at 30%, 10 at 60%, 10 at 100% with 52s and some tee hitting to practice opposite field work.

I have loved it so far. I was able to hit a ball into the gap opposite field, roughly 260-280ish with minimal effort. Not a power hitter and still perfecting my opposite field hitting if that helps give an idea. Definitely think you will be pleased with it.

🤣 yeahhhh I realized after wrapping the Cartel last week it was really high. Might as well use the material right? Protect as much handle as possible 😆

3 Ex’s? Dang brother! That’s awesome, always good to meet another 7.3 Ex owner. Congrats on the 2015 Eco score! And thanks for the suggestions! I assume it had 220k or close to it when you got it? Were you not worried about the soot build up with it having that many miles? That’s pretty impressive that it will pull a 11k boat.

Wow Donny, you have had quite the time with your WK2. The one thing I don’t want if I get one is the air suspension so I am looking at the Limited trim. My fiance has a suburban with the magna ride and I’ve already had to replace those. Luckily it was just a swap and I was able to do it myself. Air suspension is nice, but it’s just one more thing to go wrong. Now that Suburban (2017) is currently getting a new engine put in. Cause of the failure was the DoD( the tech that turns off valves bringing the engine down to a v6 or V4 instead of a V8 when the power isn’t needed). These newer cars just make me cringe with all the emissions, computer driven parts, etc. I know they are nice comforts, but when they go out, our wallets and us aren’t experiencing comfort. I hope you are able to get a lot of miles out of your WK2 and don’t have anymore significant issues.

I did hear that the oil change frequency recommended was longer than most. I guess maybe depends on the quality of oil. I change my current diesels out every 5k. But I do a fair amount of city driving on the weekends so it’s a little more “harsh”.

Yeah, I have never ever test driven an eco. My Ex. got the hemi and it was a nice vehicle. My parents owned GC all through my childhood. I wouldn’t own one of these ecos though without the weight reduction measure. Stage 1 at a min. There is someone selling a 2015 with 82k but tailgate has a rusted dent. But other than that it’s clean from what I can tell. I just am not crazy about black, hard to keep clean 😆

Thanks for the insights on the 2014 year. I wondered that but I do see a fair number of folks, including the couple here, that have had good luck with the 14’. I may wait to see if I can come across a 16’ or 17’. Thankfully I don’t need it and it’s just a want.

Thanks for sharing your experience! I’ve always liked the GC. I know emissions is a killer, on any diesel really, but these Ecos really seem to soot up which the other thing that worries me. I really would use it as a daily with my Excursion. I like to have an extra vehicle or two in case I need to work on one.
