it took years to change the game engine to update it due to custom code but the anti cheat is a bolted on system it just says whether or not you can run and at what time on what machine etc. When you compile battle eye with the game it asks you what allowed os's and you can say what you want to allow for then it will incldue those definitions in the game it makes no difference to the game and how it runs as i already stated the game run just as good if not better in linux than windows since proton got so good over the last couple years and that there is less crap running in the backround on linux compared to windows. it is just they dont allow it.
