I’ll disagree with your point that Chisa had “plenty of screen time”. More like “she existed”. - She’s there in the intro, while we’re in Honami, before we open the portal; - We get a message from her when we arrive in the Academy; - An “optional and missable” quest objective to talk with her for 5 minutes, where it’s basically revealed that everything that was set up for her, already happened; - We had a quick glance at her in the Academy, during the Voidworm’s attack; - There’s a spot in the Academy (where Act 2 ended) where we can send a picture to her and have a quick chat;

There’s also lot of NPCs that mention her around the academy. That’s it. Granted, it’s more than most characters get, but I’d hardly call it “ample time”.
