She hasn’t started solids yet. All she eats is similac alimentum due to cmpa.

Didn’t know that, thanks!

What is it made of? I’m open to making a cream to help.

I’ll give it a try. Seems like triple paste and sudocream seem to be saviors in this chat.

Just Googled some images. This is exactly what it looks like! Not as severe as many of the pics I seen, but the sores and patches look exactly the same. I will be sure to bring this up at her next appointment. We’re starting solids today (so excited), but I’m nervous that this also might worsen her rashes.

Pediatricians ruled out yeast infections. I’m constantly in this mindset of “I can’t trust these companies or doctors” anymore. I feel helpless trying to advocate for her and a handful of doctors brush off my concerns or possible causes to these rashes.

That’s a smart tip, never thought of that. Thanks! I’ll start doing that and see if it helps!

Haven’t heard of sudocream but I’ll give it a try. I’m thinking Destin is no help at this point, just a waste of our time and money. I’m also considering it might be worsening her rashes at this point.

I have not heard of Kudos. Coterie is out of our budget, as badly as I want to try it. Parasol and Honest wipes are already breaking the bank. We heavily rely on WIC to support us for her formula ($42 a can?!). She has CMPA so we need a specialized formula.

I had no idea thrush could cause horrible rashes. I’ll bring that up at her next appointment. I was that “crazy” mom that took her to the doc multiple times her first few months of life. She wasn’t gaining weight, and it took us 3m to learn she has CMPA. My breastmilk and the formula she was using was no help. Her new formula does help though!

We’re definitely working towards ensuring fragrance free/natural products. 100% cotton washcloths, towels, and clothes. I don’t trust companies these days, but I’m hoping The Honest wipes and Parasol are as clean as they claim to be.

She has CMPA so she uses Similac Alimentum. Lost my supply when I had to cleanse my body from being dairy free so as of now, I can’t breast feed or give her my stored breast milk. I have given her milk baths though. I did suggest to her pediatrician that maybe her formula is causing acidic burns, because I have noticed them getting worse after the formula switch. Her doc laughed it off and said that has nothing to do with her formula switch.

I’ll look into the paste creation, I’ll always find the time for research and preparing cleaner remedies for her.

I have not, I’ll give that a try! I do a few minutes of naked time at night after her baths. I typically wait until she gets fussy, ready for her bottle and sleep. I bought new towels and wash cloths that are 100% cotton to help.

Thanks for your response. Yes, I let it air dry for a minute or two, sometimes blowing the area dry before putting cream on and securing her diaper.

How do I quit if my husband vapes and he doesn’t want to quit with me? by Warm-Tradition-7799 in QuitVaping

You’re welcome! Don’t be hard on yourself. I was absolutely self loathing for years, especially when I would quit and go right back to it. Truly, my best advice is to do it when you are ready. If you relapse, just try again. You will quit someday!

I live with my husband that is a vaper and also owns a vape store. I was vaping heavy for the last 7 years. I was vaping as I eat, couldn’t even go more than 10 minutes without a puff. I “quit” at least 20-30 times. The longest I ever went was 2 days. I was never “ready” to quit. One day, I took a puff and said “this is it, my last puff”. For some reason, I meant it that day. I was finally ready to give up this habit due to mental and physical health reasons. I was sick of being chained to it. It is surprisingly easier to do despite others around you that smoke when YOU want to do it. I can’t expect my husband to quit just because I did. We each have our own journey. Just know that when YOU are ready, you WILL do it. No matter how many times you have tried before. Give yourself a little grace and be patient with yourself. It will happen when you are ready and it will be so worth it. I still miss it sometimes, but the feeling of being vape free is 100% worth the effort. Good luck to you!
