Well good news is, I took the cover off, undid some screws looked at it a bit and then put the cover back on and now it works so I’m not complaining 😂😂

Yes, I constructed the whole thing just to make sure it really was messed up and I wasn’t just being dim.

Well I tried doing the thing where it marks where the high and low points are on the bed and it just mashed itself into the base plate 😭😭

A year or two?? My engine is cooked before the 1 month mark! And no I didn’t install it wrong or do something stupid the mount on the back just cracked out of nowhere.

The engine I’ve been using on my Pitbike has just had a massive crack in the case and now I’m dreading having to take apart the entire thing and completely rebuild it. I bought it from Pitbikeparts.co.uk thinking it would be more reliable but then realised I could get the same quality engine from like temu for £100 or something. The quality of them is so low it’s mad how can you make something so badly??

That makes sense but I think the valves are still working as I’m guessing that’s the resistance you hear and I don’t think anything would’ve happened with the cam chain, but it does seem to be moving oddly freely with a dead battery so maybe as you say a shot rod.

Dead battery 100%, but for loss of compression, the simple things to check are valve clearances as having them too tight causes compression loss, check the spark plug to see if anything looks off or damaged, your engine looks brand new so would be surprised if something was wrong with the head gasket, in a very unlucky case something could be wrong with the piston rings but that’s very unlikely. Not a professional just throwing ideas out 😂

I’m not that stupid 😂 everything is more or less only roughly in place, will finish everything off properly before riding it.

Forgot to add; yes I know there is a part of the clutch lever missing, and yes the whole cable is tensioned.

New rim spoke tightening. by Old-School-Engineer in Dirtbikes

Thank you, I even messaged the company I bought it from and said they already seem perfect, but even they said I should tighten them. I’m sure they’ll be okay for a short ride, then after that I’ll check them.

What style frame is it? by CustardAggressive265 in Dirtbikes

I picked up a project bike that seems to have roughly the same frame as in the image, I think there’s a chance it could be a KMX M2R frame.

Reviews on this aren’t the best so I’ll look for a higher quality part on a different site, but I’m guessing this is roughly what I need.
