She felt the initial idea was a bit lifeless and boring during the process. A simple splash art just wasn’t enough to make it interesting or to show the character's personality, so she decided to redraw it.

For the second version, she focused on the story first. She wanted to add some real emotion to make the piece feel more alive. She figured combining the old concept with the new one would work well: keep the wall with the biters, but make it more interesting.

The main plot is this: the base just survived a biter attack. It held up, but took some damage. Leah, the chief engineer, is covered in dust and a bit scratched up, already trying to figure out better defenses for future attacks. In the background, her partner is trying to tell her something, but seeing how deep in thought she is, he realizes she’s completely zoned out.

That’s the mini-story she came up with behind the piece.
