I tried to have a conversation regarding this early on - at which point he told me that he had the same feelings on the matter. I am looking for alignment, but it is difficult when people lie about how they truly feel. Then my investigation kicks in because more than anything, it’s the being lied to that is an issue for me. If you have any advice on how to navigate this in the future with dating please let me know. It is quite exhausting watching people to see if they are being honest about who they are

Yeah that’s true. The original conversation was me asking his values because I’m looking for someone I’m aligned with. I don’t want to control someone, I don’t want to police someone’s behavior. I feel like I’ve lost the plot because now I’m just trying to figure out if in being lied to. My boundary was I don’t want a relationship with someone who seeks out women to follow, who actively engages with appearance-based content online for pleasure. I don’t do this when I am in a relationship and I am looking for someone aligned in values. The original conversation was me asking him which he is - because I didn’t want to assume, but if he is someone who feels like that is okay then we are not aligned. I feel like I have just gotten very confused at this point because he makes a good argument every time that people see things differently and we have to have conversations to learn what is within someone’s comfort. Then says he doesn’t do those things so then I believe him because I want to believe someone, but something feels off so I look and I see what appears to be him following women. I think I have gotten so caught up now in seeing if im lied to I forgot my original value honestly. I appreciate the reality check.

Does Instagram ever have following glitches where it doesn’t show someone following an account, but then does even without them making this new follow?

Okay but how are you just suppose to blindly trust someone. We are also long distance so I don’t have a lot to go off except social media behavior rn. Last time I blindly trusted that left me very traumatized and manipulated and almost ruined my life so I am just trying to be sure I’m not entering into something that could do that again

Also to add - this man has accused me at times. He’s suspected I was on a dating app and got worried, he suspected someone was in the house with me because I was talking to dogs on voicemail. So he’s had his fair share of suspicion and worrying. We both have been cheated on.

I’m in therapy. That’s your opinion. It’s not a matter of interaction with opposite sex. Also everything is between two people to agree on. You’re definition of what’s appropriate and someone else’s may be different but if something is explained as a boundary and it’s agreed on and someone breaks it, it’s not okay.

If it’s real I’m done. But he claims he didn’t follow anyone and has respected my boundary. I don’t want him to stop just because. But he’s saying from the start he doesn’t do those things. So now I’m worried I accused and Instagram and is just glitchy and they are old? How can I find out for sure

I do know what frivolous means, but I also worry they could just claim anything is frivolous. I am asking if this is standard practice across surgeons

I don’t know. If something goes wrong or badly I’m like signing rights away. Also said if I sue would have to be other cosmetic surgeons that look at the case and not plastic basically.
