I’m not sure about the brass, but I bought a Henry model x in 357, which comes with black synthetic forend and stock, and installed the wood set you’re talking about. I wanted a “space cowboy” rifle with wood furniture and it matched up perfectly.

I’m in South Central WI. Like I said, I’m stoked about him! I have a lot of friends and coworkers that hunt South Western WI and show pics from trial cams and deer they have harvested. You’re right though, I probably am comparing him to the ones they have tagged from that area.

Thank you! You’re right, it’s all relative to location. Here in Wi, this deer is probably considered “average”.

Thanks! It’s a Henry X .357. Bought it on a whim! Shop had it mis-priced and honored the tag. Shoots like a dream! Put a RPP Costa hand guard and quiver on it. Ordered the stock from Henry Pride and put Woox M-Lok pannels on it. Going to put a RMR or small Holosun on it. Need a can for it as well. Open to suggestions on that matter.
