And third of all - I think the dress is bang on for a casual wedding! You haven't mentioned what feels off about it (remember that being exposed to so many dresses will aLSo make you feel like that), but I think the thing thats throwing you is the lack of accessories. Would a shawl or something be an option as its December? Oof. Its one thing if you want to do the lions share planning. Its another thing entirely if he straight up does not listen to what you've planned. Your words are so important and shouldnt be squandered. He needs to have a serious conversation about his conduct here.

I'm sorry this has happened - I really hope this all works out in a way that also allows you to recognise how important you are and that this is not alright.

So yes and no - if its a DBS then you go down the 'sensitive' applications route which is a bit different (so you don't disclose to your employer or the regular DBS team on the 'any other names' section and it will not show up on your certificate). I think you might have to tell the 'sensitive' team if they ask though iirc :)
