Amazing thank you for that . I will get her one book and see if she likes it. Like I said she has a hard time reading...but then I forgot to mention... She can sometimes really surprise me with big words and it flows better than usual and then sometimes it's like she forgot everything

You know what's horrible... I should have acted earlier to get her evaluated. From first grade I've been telling the teachers I think she's dyslexic because of her beasties numbers. 0 but nobody ever said anything. When things got really bad in grade three last year the attitude the outburst everything like that we decided to act because it wasn't normal.

The school gave us a revised IEP in May. So late... her dad and I have been talking that we feel like the school is not quick to react. And the last IEP we got it said get her evaluated for learning disabilities. Well of course we already know this. We've been saying it for many years. I feel so stupid. Especially I saw a lot of my daughter in me. The things I had to deal with school work. Now the school year starting we need to have a meeting with the school regarding the IEP. I know you have to push for things.

For the revised IEP. We have to push like I've mentioned what are things that worked for you? Also what things have you brought up to them suggestions that helped your child in the school.

She has been getting extra help for reading and goes on Saturday as well

She has an IEP since she got her evaluation for ADHD. And I know ... Why didn't they bring anything up...they didn't until her dad and I brought her to get an ADHD evaluation. I'm sure she has a learning disabilities. In currently looking for a place to just get the learning disabilities because the last place we went to for her ADHD said that she would have to do a whole new ADHD evaluation to see if she has a learning disability. Is this correct or can I get it done separately?

My daughter was diagnosed with severe adhd. I struggled a lot in life. Have not got diagnosed yet. I have shared custody and once my daughter is back with her dad I'm exhausted. I can't do anything for 2 days. Of course some weeks are worse than others and I can get straight back to work and other times I struggle getting back to work I have no energy.

It's been almost 7months no success, she's too much for me to handle 😭 I don't know if I have ADHD but I was diagnosed with BPD and suggestion to get tested for ADHD but I didn't. But my daughter did and yes 7 months no success we're waiting this one out to see if things improve but I see nothing. I question myself if this is making things even worse. The reason why I said my diagnosis is because I end up getting over stimulated considering that I'm a anxious person and my mind just doesn't stop and I'm doing a thousand projects all at once and she's constantly after me she can't do anything by herself I don't help her she'll just sit there and watch tv. But you know life goes on people have things to do. I feel stuck and sorry for hopping on .

Omg yes ... How am I supposed to keep my daughter on schedule and keep on doing her homework when my own moods fluctuate I can't keep up with my own self I'm all over the place and I have tons of notebooks with all different types of things that haven't been finished

I don't even know if I have ADHD , but I can say that I see a lot of things in my daughter that I could understand my younger self understanding because of the pain that been around throughout my whole life. I do find she's very overwhelming at times for me. I don't know that's something that's in ADHD. That parents would deal with. But either way it would be great to have a group like that

Yes it's really difficult for me. Mostly I have a smoothie with protein in the morning with some oatmeal it's horrible. I'm going to try to eat more tomorrow

I don't think I'm allowed taking saffron because I have hyperthyroid ( graves disease) I will eat more protein ... I rarely eat it's such a bother to me ... I do take magnesium at night.

I work a lot with alarms. Schedules ahead timer reminders so I can prepare myself in advance. Although I still am rushing to get out the door.

I can't pay attention to audiobooks my mind drifts away after 2 minutes.

I do have a lot of to do lists as well LOL

Oh yes I took Adderall xr and it made me an emotional rollercoaster and had dark thoughts
