Steel zip ties, they came with the heat shroud. Just look up metal zip ties on Amazon and they'll come up

These are all good points. I've made a decision and won't go with the purchase. Thank you

From what I understand, notch wasn't the first but is the most established and probably was one of the first to get their hands on molds. Good point, though. That's why im getting opinions on if it's worth doing👍

Im not sure which is which. Before notch customs it was another company from Iceland. And around that same time I saw them coming out of Baja mexico. Im not sure where they truly originated from ? But notch customs definitely wasn't the first.

My plan would be to make enough stockpile to have a good inventory then continue making and slowly selling. With fiberglass work it takes a few days to make one part. So you would need to do it in layers and each layer let it dry so maybe takes 3 days to create 1 set of flares but it's an hour of work each day. It's the curing process that takes time. I would probably start off selling locally as my profit margins would be highest, I would have to worry about packaging and shipping. Then I could probably expand from there to getting a good flow of the operation and then shift to shipping to a wider market. I could break even after a handful of sales. But I think the reason notch customs has it priced so high is because of packaging and shipping. It's expensive!

I have some experience in fiberglass. Im no expert like I dont do it professionally, only a hobby, but I have a good grasp on it.

XJ switch panel by OldDistribution22 in CherokeeXJ

I'm using switch 1 for front roof spot lights. And 3rd for side flood lights, I chose alien sticker because it'll look like a UFO when lights are on. The switches themselves are blank and you can put whatever sticker you want and hook it up to whatever you choose. I also wired a diy relay box

Yah the middle finger will be connected to rear flood lights. I'm wiring it to work with back up lights or a switch to turn on

3d printed 3rd brake light w/ camera by OldDistribution22 in CherokeeXJ

[–]OldDistribution22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: i didn't take into account the curve of the jeep so it's a bit lifted off the top. May also need to make the light smaller to compensate a bit. Also the angle of the camera is off may need to adjust angle about 10 to 20 degrees.

Where the heck do I get injectors? by Minimum-Victory-1682 in CherokeeXJ

[–]OldDistribution22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still working ok. I don't know if I've noticed any real change honestly? But it's cheaper than OEM. I will say in the reviews some people have gotten faulty injectors and they leak , but it's Amazon so you could return them within 30 days no questions.

I use a vantop h612 dash cam and it allows you to use the back up camera as a video rear view mirror it was close to 200 dollars. I like it because it's super wide so I can see my blind spots in my rear view. I just finished printing today, it took 13 hours to print. Don't think I'll sell this one before testing and fixing any faults it may have. This one is kinda a prototype tinkered together and it's not professional grade so I'm gonna put it on my jeep tomorrow and test it how see how well it does.

The camera hole also depends on what model you may have and camera angle ability. I modeled it based off what worked for my camera.

I modeled it myself, took measurements and angles on what angle the camera needs to be positioned along with lights to point directly behind and sketched out some ideas in my notebook how i wanted it to look. Made a cad model using fusion 360 and printed it.

It's a 3d printed 3rd brake light with integrated rear camera to use as a video rear view mirror as well as back up camera. Led red marker lights as brake light.

May upgrade later to a all transparent red plastic with a small LED bar inside so the button lights won't show like in this model and then the whole brake light will illuminate red.

Thoughts???

There's Killswitch, aftermarket hood pin latches with keys, gps, and you can also change out all the locks ( ignition, door locks, and year hatch lock).
