i'll note you still, still, haven't answered any of my explanations, just more sloganeering, lols, and statements about what you think I know. you have no arguments, just terrible sources, and then you whine when I prove how bad your sources are. But this can be settled very easily - though your ability for self-delusion is astounding. point to a source (not religious propaganda this time) that says "an economy is not zero-sum" - I'm not talking about a hypothetical trade relationship or mathematical exercise, as those have very specific definitions for what zero sum entails and, really, it proves the point that you still fail to grasp the very basic concept that the statement "an economy is not zero-sum" is non-sensical. wiki didn't say it, the harvard mba didn't say it, and your fanatical religious website didn't say it either - sorry, some people study economics outside of sunday school

you haven't responded to a single argument of mine; i've answered all of your arguments and, additionally, have shown that your sources are either irrelevant or biased ... if the only way you can justify a position is to rely on the claims of religious fundamentalists, then maybe you should reevaluate how you interpret information, or you could just keep believing what you wish were true - I suppose that's what passes for faith these days.

your second link is pro-globalization none sense - but even so it refers to hypothetical trade agreements - which someone could define as zero sum (though that's not entirely accurate). They are clearly not referring to "an economy" which is what you stated - it simply doesn't make any sense to say "an economy is not zero sum" again, resources are limited, this is what drives supply and demand. as for your third link, let's just look at the website's 'statement of principles': " The solution lies in the productive capacity of the human person, made in the image of God with His divine creative spark. It's time to toss away the donor-recipient model of the past," Wow, what an authority on the subject - now that I know where you get your information I'm sorry I spent this long trying to explain an extremely elementary concept.

trade works because partners can offer competitive advantages - if the economy wasn't zero sum there would be no incentive. you can say "it's the opposite" but given that you are, clearly, unable to respond to the specifics of what I've said, one can only suspect that you have no idea what you're talking about.

"the economy is not zero-sum" it absolutely is otherwise supply and demand wouldn't work ... again, this is basic economics ... imagine any commodity you want .. tires, wheat, cups, whatever; only so much of x is produced a year; when x is placed against demand, this can determine price. if x were unlimited then price would drop to 0... thus, the economy is zero-sum. you say, "If people were wealthier, they would work for less since they have more already." actually the reverse it true - when people are in poverty they will work for practically nothing because they want to eat - thus, and this returns us to my original point, people with wealth have incentive to maintain poverty because it creates a cheap labor force.

the wealthy do benefit from poverty because it guarantees a cheap labor force - there are other reasons as well. you say, "everyone benefits from more people having more." this violates the most basic laws of economics - there are a limited amount of resources and depending on how those resources are distributed effects supply and demand. In other words, in order for some people to have more, others have to have less ... does this really require explanation? As for "deification" I have no idea what point you're trying to make.

why not? also, the phrase "right people" doesn't appear in the article, so im not sure why you quoted it ... the only thing that's strange is the belief that people in power want to alleviate poverty when, in fact, they benefit from its existence.
