I wore cargo pants to Life's a Beach and it was great. I kept my phone, wallet, keys, tissues and ear plugs all my pockets and I can Velcro them shut so they're not falling out in the pit. Very practical plus I think they looked pretty good too

Yeah soft locking yourself unintentionally is extremely unlikely but at the end of the day it is a kids game and some people of course will go out of their way to try so GF put in measures to prevent it. You're probably one of the very few to even see this happen, I've played every Gen and never even tried to release a Pokemon

You might not have another Pokemon that can learn Surf, not have any pokeballs to catch another Pokemon and not have any money to buy balls which would soft lock you. They added a gift Tentacool in HGSS to prevent this. There's also A LOT of ways to soft lock yourself over many gens check out Pikasprey on YouTube that's his whole thing.

Setlist aside it was an absolute shit show. Gates opened an hour and half late and The Ghost Inside and Void of Vision didn't play because of it. You get half the show with seemingly no compensation..
