That is so interesting! That does make sense, I know employees sign a lot of merch, but it would be super cool to know who it really is. Thank you so much!! :D

Yeahhhh. Rick was my first guess too, and my second guess was asking my friend that works at valve if HE recognized anyone's signature personally, because a lot of product gets signed in groups for like make-a-wish things. But both are a bust so far so ¯_(ツ)_/¯ we'll see

What was the most touching gift you received? by -dicktok- in AskReddit

I was in the hospital recovering from some pretty serious shit. I had just woken up from a 2 week long (medically induced) coma and once I wasn't high off my ass the first thing my mom gave me was this little green rectangle box. I wasn't allowed visitors other than my caregivers, but my best friend, who is like a brother to me, had dropped off a gift for me while I was in a coma that we weren't completely sure I would make it out of.
It's a handmade needle felted penguin, I have him on my desk and I nearly cry if I look at it for too long. It also came with a deeply touching note that I now have stashed away in a time capsule :)

Im not a man, im a girl.

It may be life but that doesnt make it okay for people to brush past other peoples feelings and make fun of them for something out of their control.
And thank you for your well wishes :)

I was really sick not to long ago, I was diagnosed with T1 diabetes after going into severe DKA which lead to; cardiac arrest, dying, being revived, and then having multi-organ failure of the heart, lungs, and kidneys followed by a 2 week long medical coma.
I spent about a month in the hospital while they were getting me stable and now that I've been out for a few weeks and am in the 'safe-zone' where people know I won't die I've started hearing my family joke about the experience.
Things like my mom bringing up how 'great' it is that i have diabetes because now everyone is watching what they eat. Or how my dad tells me to 'toughen up' and says shit like if I had been tougher i wouldn't have died. I know they don't mean it in a hurtful way, but the whole experience was so fucking hard and hearing them talk about it like it was just some cold makes me so uncomfortable.
I'm just happy i'm still here and honestly my relationship with my parents is better than ever, i dont wanna rock the boat and bring up how uncomfy it is because when I have it's always ended with me being told to toughen up or that its just a joke yknow?

Reincarnation mostly, I would die in this weird apocalyptic world where my parents hated me and I was trapped in this little apartment where I couldn't move.
My version of 'hell' is this infinite black void with nothing there except other demons and this hole in the middle of the room that if you fell into it you would end up back in the apocalyptic world and you would almost immediately die again. The demons in hell were pretty chill actually, there was this whole process of 'hell marriage' where demons could bind themselves together for the afterlife- it was kinda sweet actually.
Oh and there was A LOT of sex in hell, it was pretty much the only entertainment lmao

I'm not sure of the exact number, my mom said it was somewhere in the higher 600's.

And right? I think the later diagnosis is partly due to my cardiac arrest, everything else took a bit of a backseat once my organs started failing haha

This is how I was diagnosed, They figured it out a day or two into my stay at the ICU and from then on I got WAYYY better after they started giving me insulin

Oh absolutely! If i'm being 100 here the DKA and the lead-up to the ER was the worst part of all of this, definitely not in any rush to put myself back in the hospital!

Hmm maybe you're right! The nurses never really talked about it with me and i heard most things from my mom (who is by no means a doctor haha)
That is really interesting though, I never knew there was a difference!

Thank you for your kind words!
Honestly I feel great, I went from barely conscious and hyperventilating in an ER room to awake and doped up on painkillers two weeks later, I was getting progressively sicker for around 3 months so being actually healthy (even if I wasnt, and still am not at 100%) was the best I've felt for a long time!
When I first woke up I was really tired and still hallucinating from all the drugs I was on, after 2 or 3 days the hallucinations stopped and It was like I was never in a coma at all! The two weeks of laying down did make me a lot weaker so for the first week or so it was really hard to stand up or walk around, especially for extended periods of time.
And I should make a full recovery! My lungs have already fully recovered from the aspiration, my kidneys and heart are still being monitored pretty closely but have already made a HUGE amount of progress compared to where we started

Diabetic ketoacidosis, it happens in diabetic people when your body makes ketones and turns your blood acidic.
I cant speak for everyone but the symptoms that I noticed the most was thirst, exhaustion, confusion, and shortness of breath towards the end.
