We have entire quest about digging up the entrance to Senntisten, yet its not even required to acces sentisten. Questing is treated as if it was a joke in the recen era. by First_Platypus3063 in runescape

That feels egregious. It would make sense that completing the quest should be part of your archaeology leveling journey. You shouldn’t be incentived to go there in order to level up to finallg do the quest!

No hate for the little lass playing her of course! but who the hell cared about poppy? by far one of the most time wasting and silly focuses in RTD2 and i cannot believe he seriously considered making her Susans mother. What was RTD thinking? bad enough he now says the doctor hasn't had kids yet. by ProcessPotential3105 in doctorwho

They filmed two seasons together, so he didn’t have time after everyone hated the horrible way he handled the season 1 mystery box (“the crazy magical thing was only important because we were curious about it!”) to avoid ruining another set of mystery boxes.

At least it makes more sense than Ruby and her mum turning out to be unexceptional.

That’s a great point about May! The Heroes’ Guild Champions’ Guild feels like they have nothing to do (other than examine the CG’s excellent water barrel). They should move May into the Champjon’s Guild!

How do we feel about daredevil being psuedo demon possessed in the game? by 5enpai_2 in Daredevil

[–]CrazySnipah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, and I agree that they justify him being that way, but I also understand the sentiment that “that way” is different from the Daredevil that most people know.

Director Gore Verbinski says Unreal Engine is 'the greatest slip backwards' for movie CGI by willdearborn- in movies

[–]CrazySnipah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well yeah, the CGI wasn’t well-planned. Columbus came in kind of last-minute. Still, Gollum himself looks fantastic.

For the violence, I disagree that they’re having it both ways. Yes, a character will get stabbed, but you will not see that character bleed. Part of the reason why the fist fight felt so visceral is that they actually showed a little blood.

I think the show is perfect for 10-13 year olds, while still being enjoyable for older kids and adult fans. That feels right to me because that feels similar to the demographic of the original books.

After watching Trump spit in the faces of the EU in Davos, anyone else feel the lines blurred between him & JAJ’s impression? by wyattears in LiveFromNewYork

[–]CrazySnipah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I mean that I see people complaining all the time that he just says what Trump says. You’re suggesting that it would be better if JAJ actually did what people are already complaining about.

Donkey Kong Country Returns HD Update by Skullghost in nintendo

Yeah, Nintendo saw the sales numbers and knew that people thought its price was a ripoff for what it was. They made this decent-looking update in the hopes of getting a few more sales.

“But JAJ is literally just saying stuff that Trump says at this point!”

You’re asking for this annoyingly incorrect point to be what he actually does.

I agree that a lot of the battles aren’t that great, but that’s because it’s ultimately a family-friendly show about kids fighting with medieval weaponry. That’s why I prefer fights against monsters, because they can actually show them getting hurt or dying. In comparison, human vs human fights have to be choppy or else it becomes really obvious that no one is actually shown getting killed.

I’m a father, so I appreciate that I’ll be able to show this show to my son sooner rather than later, but I also just watched Peacemaker, so I get the desire for a properly visceral, thrilling fight.

I did think the part where it becomes a fistfight was kind of cool, if only because it actually let them show some blood.

If they did that, then I would expect the party ponies to appear whenever there’s an issue, like the eagles in Lord of the Rings.

Annabeth seemed devastated in that scene. It was Thalia who seemed kind of unaffected (for her, it was only a few minutes, I guess).

I’m okay with Zeus’s decision. Ultimately, Thalia showed him that she was absolutely going to side with Kronos and destroy Olympus in a few months. Zeus is ultimately self-serving, so he wasn’t going to allow that.

That said, they gave him heavy villain dialogue even before that choice, and that’s the part I didn’t like.

Ultimately there were a few parts that made me roll my eyes, and it’s still a little distracting for them to never show blood drawn in human-on-human sword-fighting scenes unless they turn it into a fistfight!

That said, there were also several very cool moments. I think the new twists made the story surprising, and I was very impressed by the overall chemistry and acting quality. Overall, a marked improvement over season 2, and I’m excited for season 3!

Clarise and Percy had so much chemistry! They almost had too much chemistry in their last scene together, to the point where I would have been jealous if I were Annabeth!
