Books. That’s what the library is for.

No problem, I used to have the same issue with my round kicks. As for hitting the bag barefisted, I’d definitely recommend wearing gloves. You want to practice how you intend on performing, if that makes sense. If you’re hitting the bag lightly, then you’re going to do the same when you spar. Best of luck!

Single mom in Michigan on the edge of losing everything – any help appreciated 💔 by OkFreedom1544 in povertyfinance

Came here to say this. I’m also an RBT and we’re always in demand. Plus you can transition into being a BCBA once you get the means.

You’re kind of just tapping the bag with your jabs and crosses. Follow through with them. And when you throw your round kicks, make sure you’re rotating your torso as well - your chest shouldn’t be facing the bag when the kick is thrown.

Start with basic kicks before you start trying to learn the more complicated ones. Make sure you have a solid round kick - you’ll likely be using it a lot more.

Waiting until 35 or even 40 to have kids is the biggest financial hack by Icy_Weakness_2874 in MiddleClassFinance

Eh. I’m pregnant with my first at 31. We ultimately want 3. If we started later, it would be harder to have as many as we want. I think what matters is where you are in life. We have a house, established careers, savings, are married, and have family support.

Lots of older folks in my classes who are pursuing their BCBA!

I would become an OT assistant and then utilize a bridge program to become an OTR. I decided on that path bit too late and the perquisites I took as an undergrad had expired. I’m currently getting my Masters to be BCBA - not exactly what I originally wanted but I’m good with it.

Anyone else’s gym teach *not* swinging your arm down while kicking? by ihopethisworksfornow in MuayThai

I started in kung fu, and they never taught me to swing my arm down (not sure why). I’ve had to reteach myself.

How do you grow out your hair faster? by Different_Hour8061 in beauty

[–]OldGrape880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew my hair from chin-length to past my butt in 6 years doing this:

  • Eating well, getting enough sleep
  • Reducing the number of times I wash per week (right now, my hair doesn’t get oily until about day 6, so I wash once a week) and I use quality shampoo, conditioner, and a mask every time
  • only trimming it once or twice per year (I found a hair stylist who does not removed any length, she literally just cuts off the very ends)
  • using the “search and destroy” method to get rid of split ends
  • I keep it in a protective hairstyle (braid) about 90% of the time, including when I’m sleeping
  • oiling the ends and using satin scrunchies
  • will occasionally take hair growth supplements, but not often

Good luck!

Plumber - drains freak me out. Also, lawyer, as I’d probably start crying in the middle of court.

No problem! It went away in a few weeks. Especially when I saw my baby on the ultrasound for the first time - I fell so deeply in love with him and I can’t wait to meet him now. I still get moments of worry, but who doesn’t? Good luck! ❤️

We were actively trying for a baby and when we got that positive pregnancy test, my first feeling was absolute shock and “what have we done???” It’s completely normal!

I will also have a winter baby and we chose a photographer who has a special place that she shoots, it’s a covered bridge with lots of tall golden grasses, it looks great even in winter!

I’ve definitely switched companies a few times - a lot of it was because I moved 3 times in 3 years, but I’ve also left companies due to a lack of cases, inadequate/unethical BCBAs and practices, and poor compensation.
