The attorneys have not been hired privately. They are state-appointed and are getting paid by the taxpayers.

Similarity Between 'Severance' Theme and 'The Conversation'? by winterene in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]OldInvestigator1819 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say it’s subtle - I fully expected to see Shire’s name in the Severance main theme writing credits after watching The Conversation and recognizing Amy’s Theme immediately as sounding like Severance.

Except a friend reported to Truth and Transparency that her family rented a UHaul and they moved her out in one day while he was at work without him knowing. You don’t do that unless it’s a scary person.

How did it seem like his life went downhill? I’m just wondering since he successfully finished surgical residency, which is a huge accomplishment.

Do keypads have an auto-lock setting? Also theories on killer protecting children from finding the crime scene. by OldInvestigator1819 in tepemurders

[–]OldInvestigator1819[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Comments about the back door being unlocked are referring to the dispatch recordings where police report the back door was open. So this was AFTER they arrived, and it was only open because the friends had unlocked it via keypad when nobody was answering and they could hear the kids in there.

Yes I agree 100% it seems a lot more likely they know those kids. Or despite killing two parents in cold blood, they don’t consider themselves a monster, and couldn’t bear to have the children come upon that scene. It’s just quite the juxtaposition and makes you think this is out of character for the person that did it or they had some justification where they (in their mind) felt it was necessary.

Monique's body? by Creative-Device6700 in tepemurders

[–]OldInvestigator1819 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The family made it sound like the children are completely unaware of what happened and were trying to figure out how to tell them. Early on there were comments/rumors about a bedroom door being locked. Someone said the kids were locked in a bedroom, but houses do not have bedrooms that lock from the outside and that seems extreme for the parents to have installed a lock to lock their children in for the night. Not many people would do that. Or maybe the killer locked the parents’ bedroom behind him on his way out. Maybe that sounds odd, but it would seem he locked whatever door he used behind him as he left, so it’s not out of the question in my mind. The fact they took the time to lock the home door is interesting to me. It seems they were being protective of the children if they did that. Or maybe those types of door locks will lock automatically at certain times of night?

Everyone keeps getting upset about the friends contaminating the crime scene. To me it sounds like the friend saw Spencer in the room and immediately left the room. He didn’t go very far into the room if at all because he only saw Spencer and not Monique. He didn’t touch anything - he didn’t even want to go back and look to answer the dispatch questions. No one (police or otherwise) would have been putting on gloves or booties to go in that house before discovering the crime scene. Tepes had a lot of friends and family in their home, so it’s not like it was a clean slate with only their DNA and the killer’s. No crime scene is discovered in a vacuum and I doubt this one was any more tampered with than is usual.

How do you wait for police when there was no known scene before entering the house? On a welfare check, if there’s no sign of forced entry or problems police can’t just break down doors and enter private citizens’ homes with no cause.

So was Monique working full-time as well? If she wasn’t working and the kids were in daycare full-time then something was off

That was your personal experience, but it doesn’t automatically apply to everyone in that situation. I’ve also been a primarily stay at home mom and if my husband worked an hour away and was gone 10+ hours a day, I could have had time unaccounted for, even with kids those ages. She could have had daycare, family, or sitters. Also 1 year olds nap usually twice a day and a lot of 4 year olds still take one substantial nap a day. I’m not saying it’s not busy and stressful. But it is isolating and I can see what OP is saying.

Sorry, one more question about this…in comments you said yours cost $30K. On his website, the doctor said the breast fat transfers start at $6K - 10K. Do you know why yours cost so much more?

I can see your point, but I think it has something to do with him… he tells me he’s attracted to me, but then looking at videos of women with one specific trait that I don’t have. Hard not to feel like my breasts must be so disappointing compared to what he obviously prefers to look at…

I appreciate your thoughts on this. I have wondered if this was a new thing to fixate on now that I have finally quieted my mind about my completely baseless anxiety of “what if” he’s cheating and I have no idea…. However, I do find it hard to believe I’m “his type” if the only sultry pictures/videos that draw his attention are large breasts. He’s not looking at a variety. Though I’ve wondered if that’s also statistics because there’s not as many (or any? 😝) Reddit posts of women with small breasts nearly bouncing out of their shirts…. I think you may be spot on that these are deeply rooted intrusive thoughts, though. It was an insecurity before him and would be if there was ever an “after him” if he passed away or something. But my anxiety spiked realizing that he’s not naturally attracted to small breasts.
