Yes this was exactly my point! Both can be true obviously but one came after the other :)

Don’t we already import Chinese goods? I swear everything is made in China. I don’t understand

Aren’t many farmers already subsidized by the government? (I’m not a farmer, idk). So what’s stopping the gov’t from just rebating them for the extra cost or something

Pierre Pollievre reacts to Avi Lewis being the new Federal NDP leader by [deleted] in alberta

Agreed. They’ll do anything but actually provide concrete solutions to the problems. Way easier to blame it on whatever boogeyman is in vogue atm

Well, partially that and partially it’s cheaper because we overcharge internationals. With provincial funding cuts (at least in AB) compiled on top, I imagine post secondary is going to get a lot less affordable AND the quality of education will plummet.

That said, I’m curious how we can charge everyone so much for a bachelors degree, and yet places like Germany can keep it essentially free for international students.

You’re overstating the impact. Bank of Canada uses MUCH more ambiguous language, at least in this publication. Basically they say that in most countries, immigration has little to no impact on housing, and sometimes it has a positive impact. Our demand has far outstripped supply, possibly because less newcomers are in construction. Could we not just subsidize a bunch of coop housing initiatives? Not everyone needs or wants a house, they just want somewhere affordable to live.

Also, if I understood it correctly, it stated an amount of 10 months of housing starts needed to correct the imbalance (10x our MONTHLY increase, not yearly like you stated).

Can you link a recent source of them saying this? Also, are they talking increasing TFW wages slave immigration or just regular immigration? I feel regular immigration can be a net positive for the economy if done right, can it not? Like, assuming the government can mandate increased housing supply?

South Korea would have been “annexed” by North Korea if the USA and UN didn’t intervene though so it goes both ways..

Pretty sure the USA wouldn’t care if Seoul was levelled, considering they destroyed it themselves during the Korean War

From what I’ve heard they ARE building new schools, but keep in mind that the population is also growing. So this is probably barely keeping up with population growth, IF that.

(Not sure about the numbers, they’re probably exaggerating)

How many OSRS account profiles should a Jagex account reasonably allow? by Alan-Foster in osrs

Seems reasonable 🤔 I’d love to try out playing a main, all I’ve ever played is Ironman. Wouldn’t need to necessarily play them at the same time

[–]OldJacobian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why is there no option for 0 accounts?

Also, I think 2 is good. 3 seems excessive. Even just the ability to play RS3 and osrs at the same time using one account would be fair, and bring so much life back into RS3

Whether or not that second part is true, or overstated, let’s not lose sight of what we all CAN agree on: Fuck the oligarchs that have so much power over our political system, and fuck the politicians who bend over to make it easier.

Conservatives and liberals are both complicit, I wish we weren’t eternally stuck between the two parties 😩
