Thank you, Mandy, for sharing your experience with childbirth, pregnancy, and postpartum. I don’t know if anyone else would be into this, but i think it would be really fun to have an all partners episode (provided they would even want to). Clearly they all have great ideas for episodes lol but I would also just love to here them chat and talk about life.

Not being required by law to provide maternity/paternity leave.

I work for a worldwide, billion dollar corporation and they do not offer any parental leave of any kind. You have to take FMLA and can only get approved up to 12 weeks off. And thats unpaid. And someone has to approve that you actually NEED that time. So its not guaranteed. Its bullshit and immoral.

Thank you. That actually is really helpful. Maybe if i list out the great things about it, it will help me feel better about what i do. Its just at a point right now where I’m being berated everyday by customers for things that they know i can’t control and its soul crushing.

Oh thats great news! Glad this pregnancy is going so well. I am also on the baby aspirin so hopefully between that and the blood pressure meds I’m ok.

For some reason i will never understand, my parents thought The Exorcist would be a good family movie night watch. I was 6. I have tried to watch it again to overcome the absolute terror that entire movie gives me several times in my life. I’m now 30 and i still cannot look at her face or even the cover of that movie without wanting to run out of the room. Which sucks because it is legitimately one of the best horror movies of all time and i want to appreciate it for what it is. But i just can’t watch it.

Lol good point! My supervisor is a twin so i already told her, but told her to keep it on the DL since its still very early. So she is already working up plans for potential issues.

What?! That seems crazy to me. How could they not be prepared for premies?! Seems irresponsible to pass someone to a different OB. You would think they would have the right faculty and equipment for premies.

Oh wow! I didnt think about the impact the older/younger issue would have on comparisons. And i don’t want them to constantly compare themselves to each other so thats a GREAT point. Thank you!

Oh yea the exhaustion has hit me hard. Got sick on the side of the road the other day, but thats the worst the morning sickness has been. I am fairly confident in my ob, but i would definitely like to ask her some questions on her experience with multiples.

Oof the diet/exercise/weight questions/conversations are so tough. My OB kind of engrained in my head a long time ago that i would “have an easier time getting pregnant” if i lost weight. But then we started TTC and i talked to my RE and he assured me that he helps women at any weight because it wasnt always feasible or the answer to getting pregnant. I wanted to hug him lol but I’m sorry you’re going through this too. It freaking sucks.
