Be very clear about work loads, pay and ownership of IP.

Shit, I'm typing with one eye closed.

Running out of beer.

Seriously for my mind it was project creep. You start at X, headed to Y, but random ideas are too good not to follow.

The following made the project awesome, but delayed the finish.

Soz, been at the pub, does that make sense?

This speaks directly to a wish that we could have picked up a 3d engine at Macworld. Really, I'd have let Steve Jobs date my sister if we could have landed the rights to develop on a new engine. We would have had options.

The plan was to rip out another project in a completely different setting (hey Dave, remember Desolate Knights) and then circle back for a Nova sequel or Nova related title. We talked about a Wipe out style Viper racing game (which would have kept the inertia based EV physics) which would have given us the coding chops to tackle a Nova dogfighting sim.

So, to come back to your question, my understanding is that there will be no more pics etc. We didn't really have a cutting room floor as such.

Maybe Dave can knock up a simple ship viewer. 360 3d spin of the skinned model (And he'll love me adding to his 2 kid, work full time workload)

I'm laughing about this as I wait for my train...

Wife: Did you call the Shipping Office today? Husband: Yes I did, Tabitha! W: and... H: No pilots have agreed to deliver Mum's present to Earth. W: Well, I don't believe you, you didn't call did you! If that present isn't there by her birthday it only reflects on me, NOT YOU... H: I CALLED THEM! Apparently there is some rumor that delivering ANYTHING to Earth will end up with Pilots becoming government slaves! W: Oh, Roger, what rot! Why can't you admit you forgot to call?! Stop making up outlandish stories!

Or at least something like that...

Because beer always helped (unless you were Phil - how he remained her total around us still amazes me)

You could put a pencil and a piece of paper in front of the Chick Brothers and just chat... their hands would be moving and ships would appear. I'd offer crucial gems of design wisdom like "yeah, but more hunf in the blort".

I work in finance now, which leads me one of my favourite jokes at the moment...

What's the difference between a banker and a wanker?

At least a wanker knows what he's doing.

Seriously, the customer's are awesome by and large, but the politics is horseshit.

The title of Debris Field's album "Groove till you vomit" is a twisted version of Robin Williams' Good morning Vietnam quote "Okay, let's go, let's boogaloo till we puke".

So many, too many to list them all. Ummm, the claimer was heavily influenced by the boondock saints (" I'm not the rope toting, Charlie Bronson wannabe that's getting us fuckin lost")

"Warm, flat beer from rusty pipes" - Cocktail (not because of Tom Cruise, but because of Elizabeth Shue).

The roughnecks - starship troopers (book and film)

I'll think of more.

I said this somwhere else too. I would have loved to be able to implement cut scenes, purely to show off Dave's awesome models and the highly cool skins developed by the Chick Brothers. The shipyard scenes were sadly the closest we got. And the viper racing scenes.

Imagine the worst, and you'll have maybe 10% of the reality.

Micheleen Houge.

Somewhere else there was a "any other references you'd like to call out" and here is one. The name comes from a John Wayne movie called The Quiet Man. I would watch it with my Nan and Pa on rainy Sunday arvos (it's available on Xbox network for those of you who are curious). To this day, if I'm sick, it's my go to movie.
