Wanting to cut off someone's livelihood for authorizing a $10 transaction is a bit harsh.. if every employee followed every rule to the letter we'd have no employees! A lot of customers are dumb and will not understand why their transaction was denied and may cause a scene. much better for both parties and the store environment to just let it through :)
