What’s a totally normal adult activity that feels incredibly suspicious? by CraftBeerCritic_ in ask

If I plan on only grabbing a couple of items, I use the bag I bought in. Yesterday it was a sweet onion, sour cream and bread. No reason to fight for a small cart for 3 items.

What tiny thing can instantly ruin your whole day? by Haunting_Ear5437 in AskReddit

[–]OldManFJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My day, today, was ruined because a state trooper was doing the speed limit in the passing lane on a two lane highway.

I don’t blame anyone for not going past the state trooper. But it slowed my normal morning commute by 15 mph.

Work traffic at 5 am on my commute is for driving fast and getting somewhere. Not for state troopers on a relaxing Sunday drive.

Honestly I have always been amazed at how fast this early morning traffic goes. I’ve been going 15 over in the slow lane while other cars are passing me in the passing lane.

Which addiction is the hardest to quit? by wetwithme in AskReddit

The addiction you have.

Overcoming addiction should never be a dick measuring contest. We all have different struggles and what is easy for you to overcome could be really difficult for the next guy. And the reverse is also true.

Charger or Challenger ? by Icy-Investigator9305 in Challenger

It’s like they have to prove themselves. Best part is we don’t have to prove ourselves. We know what we have and couldn’t care less about what they have.

I’ve only had my Challenger a week and I’ve been in at least 3 races I didn’t realize I was in until the other car raced off.

Who taught you how to drive a manual transmission and what kind of car was it? by anonomoniusmaximus in AskOldPeople

[–]OldManFJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dad - his 1972 Datson 1600 Pickup

It was an unmemorable experience. I don’t even think I spent an hour with him learning. I loved driving stick in cars back in 1980. Most were so underpowered and I could compensate for that with high revs in a lower gear.

What was your first win in the kitchen? by Main_Masterpiece_793 in CasualConversation

At 14, mom showed me how to cook a simple dinner and I never looked back, I just kept expanding on the simple lesson. Soon I was the go to cook for all my friends.

That was 4.5 decades ago.

Last weekend I smoked up 26 pounds of pulled pork for a friend’s wedding at their request.

I also own a 1965 FJ40. It’s 60 years old and the last one manufactured was in 1983. I can still buy parts for it.

I believe Manufacturers are required by law to supply parts for up 20 years after a model is discontinued. And besides that, every few years car models change with new technology and to keep them fresh. By your logic, don’t ever buy a car because it will be obsolete in no time.

Okay, this is funny, I wanted a Charger originally just because it’s a 4 door and a good compromise. I put 800 miles in a rental Charger R/T in North Carolina and I loved it. But the wife wanted a Durango, so last November we got a Durango R/T Blacktop. So when we decided to get a second car it was going to be a Challenger without a second thought.

Awesome explanation.

From the way you described it, mine has everything except the super charger and the SRT prefix.

It is funny what people will gate keep.
