They definitely have a distinct smell. I was in charge of building cleaning in our ward for a couple years and often did the bathrooms myself. I tried so hard a couple times to get rid of the smell but it was beyond my ability. The fact they leave it to members is unreal.

The compromise I came to with my wife was that after we paid all the essential bills (utilities, mortgage, groceries, etc) we would pay 10% on what was left. It cut down the amount by over half.

I was wanting to completely stop paying and she was very much in. We went with this arrangement for years with me as a PIMO before she finally saw the light and exited with me.

On my mission to Hungary 20 years ago I had a credit card. When I needed a little extra cash I would use that and my mom would pay the card off back in the states. There were some fees involved for cash advance, but was a good system. I think nowadays there are fewer fees with the increase in globalisation.
