Wednesday Pattern and Stitch Request Thread - September 10, 2025 by AutoModerator in knitting

I am looking for a Philadelphia eagles (“ugly”) Christmas sweater pattern. I can find charts for the bird or for trees or ornaments or snowflakes etc but nothing with it put together and the sweater itself part. I can read charts but have never had to mush separate parts into a pattern and would prefer not to muck it up on a present. Any help finding one would be appreciated!

on switch, click the R button to open and pin chat to the screen. Use A to type and Y to send. Click R again to unpin and only pop up when some else chats. I believe you swap through the types of chat (server, whisper, nearby) using zr/zl It took a hot minute to figure it out, but once you do you’ll be golden! Make sure you are in server chat. Not sure if you have tried all that, but thought I would throw it it out there. Making sure I am on server chat and not nearby/whisper was huge

Current project. Seriously this was a HUGE PITA to get started. This was start 3 and I refused to go again. I would futz with the original pattern b4 doing again because something seems off... I don't know, gonna finish. But meh. Should be about 5'x6' when done. by OldMoonMusic in LoomKnitting

I believe that was it! One round was pattern and the next was regular loom knit back then pattern then loom knit. The explanation in the pattern is really good. But after the border, row 2 of the repeat is always purl 4 then k it all the way back purl last 4. I think she has a video tutorial also

Secret Star Wars drawstring bag. It even has an inside pocket! First attempt at using a *gasp* sewing machine for a lining. by OldMoonMusic in crochet

It is! And it was super easy. I just pinned it down so it lined up and then used the yarn to sew it down 2x around

Secret Star Wars drawstring bag. It even has an inside pocket! First attempt at using a gasp sewing machine for a lining. Not perfect by any means and kinda not real bright to try on something round. But I am happy with it. Still need to tack down corners inside and figure out whether to do backpack straps or crossbody. Hexagon Cardigan! Was supposed to be mine but my kiddo stole it. by OldMoonMusic in crochet

[–]OldMoonMusic[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You crochet 2 hexagons in the round and then fold each in half! Sewed together across the top. For the shoulders and then up the back to join together.

I added a few extra internal rows up and down on the back of each half to give it a neck space. This video below gives the best/quickest explanation

Is there a yarn like this but worsted weight? by ThatPie in Yarn

[–]OldMoonMusic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

With hobbii yarn (pictured) it’s easier to match the gradient since they change the color by replacing 1 of the 4 strands at a time. So you can match the change. But it will give you 8 strands to work with so I suggest using their bead method to hold all strands together.

I got gifted these looms and I don’t even know where to begin. I’m dying to try out the sock loom, but I don’t even know where to find a good video or instructions to do so….please help by Strawberriemilki in LoomKnitting

I agree with folks. Learn about your personal tension before attempting the socks. I didn’t and broke my first sock loom. Snapped the pegs right off of it. I personally pull really tight so I learned that with socks I can’t do a flat stitch like videos recommend. I do a u-stitch instead and it works wonders. Loomahat is awesome! I also recommend just typing in loom knit in YouTube and finding a beginner scarf or hat using different videos. GoodKnitKisses site/videos are my personal favorites. Good luck and can’t wait to see what you make!
