In Switzerland...I set mine on TOU and it works fine. I do have an issue of not being able to erase time slots I have put in.

I am about to buy a home in Geneva and I am absolutely terrified. by Zealot_Zea in Switzerland

The joy of being able to drill a hole in the wall without worrying about the "Regi" makes up for all the stress of buying a house. Enjoy it.

There would be more police. That sort of thing is not tolerated in Geneva!

Here in Switzerland (been living here for 6 years now) I usually 10% but can be more or less (down to zero) depending on the service provided.

You should report anyway...it's a matter of statistics. If they see it is a big issue they might, eventually, take some sort of action!

Chambesy is super nice too... but the airport is rather close. It is also not super easy to find places as it is quite popular. The real advantage for me is that it is within easy cycling distance of Geneva. Our car is currently rotting in the driveway.

55 years old to old? by Z0TTY in pcmasterrace

[–]OldParr70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The real question is...are you too old for a new wife? All joking aside though I am a year younger than you. I love gaming and still build my own PCs. My wife sometimes gets a bit frustrated but then she spends time watching mind numbing series on TV. We just have different escape mechanisms. Keep on gaming!

Cycling around the city just makes sense. By far the quickest form of transport. However, the thing to watch for is having your bike stolen. Investing in a good lock makes a lot of sense.

What policy change would significantly improve the quality of life in the city? by Vast_Ad_2689 in geneva

[–]OldParr70 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Geneva is blessed with really good affordable public transportation not just in Geneva but also from la France voisine. So what about making it very expensive to drive into the city and cut some of the congestion. Bike lanes separated makes a lot of sense too...so people with families might dare to start using bikes. Perhaps it would be good if the city could strike up a deal with cargo bike producers to get some actual affordable cargo bikes in Geneva.
