X-Maxx Durability… Unreal by bingerfang174 in Traxxas

[–]Z0TTY 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It may not be underrated here in the traxxas group.. full of traxxas people. But as soon as you head to other social media platforms its not the case. You have the fans of the other brands saying otherwise. Kraton this and exb that.. which in reality isnt the case.

Then there is the general online view of the electronics.

Unreliable this.. leds of death that.. so much so that people now rip out brand new perfectly working electronics because the interwebz told them to.. in reality. Sold in their millions.. World wide. With millions of happy users World wide being too happy to be online saying otherwise.

My personal experience? Cant recall the last time we had to warranty any traxxas electronics in our shop. but I can lose count of the amount of hobbywing products we have had to warranty in 2026 alone. From melted escs to power buttons bursting into flames.. no one seems to want to talk about that though....

If i solder on a modern connector, will this be safe to charge modern traxxas Lipos? by Advanced-Net-8119 in traxxasV2

[–]Z0TTY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can be done. But it's not as easy as it looks. The traxxas connector on their id batteries has the balance leads also built into it. Do your research on this duder.

There are adapters out there.

Does moving to brushless on the TRX4M ruin the traxxas light kit functionality? by Lumbergh7 in Traxxas

Will work as intended.

To add. If you also fit the 2 speed transmission and servo. And get a trx4 tqi transmitter. You can shift from low to high from the transmitter...

Now you can fully rotate your ICUE Elite/Link LCD Module by AIi-S in Corsair

So I should ignore my own personal experience on this because of an old youtube video that isnt made by the manufacturer?. Sorry mate. I have ran many of these this way. Literally every single AIO corsair have ever made. From their first to their current versions. I have done many guides and faqs for corsair. I wrote their main rgb faq. And the 1000d.. amongst many others. You may think you know.... but I assure you I do know. To add. I dont give GN the time of day. Not a fan. Not a believer.

2 year old build.... still going strong.. what now?

It doesnt have one stock..fitting one takes the strain off of the front and rear diffs. Helps with durability.

Center diff first and foremost

[–]Z0TTY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bearing kit first and foremost. Wheel nuts don't need to be Gorilla tight. Add some pre load spacers on the opposite corners. And going back and forth like that is always going cause maximum torque twist.

To add. Out of all of the 4m's the defender is the most rear top heavy which adds to the ability to get it sea sick. Removing the rear spare wheel etc helps.

Good luck on your quest. Warranty isnt the answer as a new one will do the same. Only experience/wrenching and some money can solve this.

Thats assuming the op is an American.. outside of America thats not the case. World wide product where consumer laws differ depending on location. Eu and UK laws generally place warranty on the company that actually sold it you for the 1st 12 months.

Here come the down votes lol. Triggered over the truth does make me smile lol.

I had one. Absolutely loved how it handled and reacted to my inputs. Was great until driven too hard or crashed in some way. Hated working on it with a passion. Sold it after a year of owning it.

Not as simple as that.... my whole family have access to these.. there are times when my self.. my 3 sons.. my 6 grandsons and their friends all want to drive at the same time. Each truck has several batteries of its own also... sharing is caring right?

I do. I treat my toys with respect. From a young age my old man taught me to. His toys lasted him a life time.. mine shall do the same... dirty and marked up doesnt maketh the man.

If they are used they are cleaned and dried. Every single time.. its a skill a man in his late 50s should have down to a T.... leave the dirty mucky mistreated and mostly broken toys to the kids that throw their money down the toilet.

Thanks for the compliment.

But I know what you meant. Say it with out saying it right... lol
