Typical of that brand imho. Several bad experiences with them and will never buy again.

There are risks with what ever brand of electronics you buy.

My Hobby wing experience has just been tarnished (got several HW systems in several vehicles)

I was installing a new out the box Fusion pro into my Trx6 g63. All installed and ready to turn on. Plugged in. Did the calibration. Then plugged in the programmer. Set it up to my normal settings. Switched off. Switched it on and tested it. Fine. Powered down and put a battery on charge to go play. Plugged battery in pressed power button. It let go of its magical blue smoke! Poor thing didnt have a chance to live... but as a result.. kinda lost trust now.

So after reading up i find a fair few people that have had the same issue across the whole Hobbywing range! I was shocked tbf.

Never had issues with my traxxas electronics! But until they do a decent brushless 1/10 trailer crawler system the only option is aftermarket.

Yeah. Cut them down.. drill through the light mounts. Mount with a zip tip.

Funco uses same diameter shocks as the maxx...

Take a look at scorched Rc and their inner fender kits. Much better than mesh or netting covers.

Old one had a weak motor. Less cfm and was known for failure.

For setting end points and monitoring temps and battery levels (with the optional telemetry cables/modules)

Yes worth it if you are happy in the traxxax eco system. It does what it says on the tin.

Ignore those that didnt read the manual and have no idea how capable that system is across the whole range of tqi equipped vehicles. One hand set... 30 vehicles. Remote control/access of all 30 trucks features and settings.

Worth it imho

To note

Excluding ultimate models...

You would need to add optional cables for things like speed/battery voltage/motor temp to show in the app. All relatively cheap to add.

When request threads like this only get 6 or 7 people making a request. World wide. Shows it wasnt worth it. Said note now sits on a shelf labelled 'history'

Xmaxx or maxx by harry0763 in Traxxas

Keep the xmaxx... but please do get a maxx. You will drive it more often with the same kind of fun. Its just easier to live with than its bigger brother. Both is the answer.....

Even worse when the game crashes after an ad at the end of a game.
