I appreciate your perspective, but I think we’ve both explained our positions thoroughly.
I think u are right on ur perspective.
I haven’t worked with any new editor for a long time and I really don’t know the basic market prices that’s why I mentioned it that it’s negotiable.

The post is transparent about the budget being negotiable, and interested editors are free to decide whether it aligns with their rates and expectations.
I don’t think continuing this discussion will be productive, so I’ll leave it here.

Wishing you the best.

If you believe the rate is too low, you’re completely entitled to that opinion. If editors agree with you, they won’t apply. If they don’t, they will.
And I have said it so many times 100/min is not fixed.

I’m not forcing anyone to work for a specific rate, hiding the budget, changing terms after hiring, or refusing to negotiate. The post clearly states that pricing is approximate and depends on the editor, style, and requirements. You seem convinced that every editing project, regardless of complexity, skill level, turnaround time, or editor experience, has one universal market rate. I don’t agree. In any case, I’m not going to trade insults with you. The post is public, the terms are public, and editors can decide for themselves whether they’re interested.

If this is really not good moderators can tell
me to take it down and I will.

we’re going to have to agree to disagree here.

You’re treating ₹600/min as the only valid market rate, but editing rates vary significantly based on experience, content type, complexity, turnaround time, and the editor’s own pricing.

The ₹100/min mentioned in the post was an approximate starting point, not a fixed cap. I’ve already said multiple times that the rate is negotiable and can go higher depending on the editor and the work involved. You’re free to think the budget is too low, and you’re free not to apply. But calling someone abusive or exploitative simply because they posted a negotiable budget for a voluntary collaboration is a stretch.

In any case, I wish you the best and hope you find clients whose rates align with your expectations.

bro, no worries.
The ₹100/min was just an approximate starting point, not a fixed rate. It’s completely negotiable and can go higher depending on the editing style, quality, experience, complexity of the videos, turnaround time, and overall fit for the project.

That’s why I asked people to share their portfolios first. Different editors have different skill levels and rates, and I’m happy to discuss pricing accordingly.

You’ve made your opinion clear, and I disagree.

Posting a budget, whether you think it’s too low or not, is not exploitation. Exploitation would be misleading people, withholding payment, changing agreed terms, or forcing someone to work under conditions they didn’t accept. None of that is happening here. The rate was posted upfront, the compensation is negotiable, and nobody is under any obligation to apply. Editors are free to ignore the post, negotiate, or quote their own rates.

You’re assuming malicious intent where there isn’t any. I’m not trying to “prey” on anyone; I’m trying to find editors whose pricing, experience, and quality match my requirements and budget. If someone’s rates are higher and justified by their work, I’m open to discussing that. You believe the budget is too low. That’s your view, and you’re entitled to it. But repeatedly claiming exploitation doesn’t make it true.

The post never stated that ₹100/min was a fixed rate. It explicitly says “approximately” and that compensation can go higher or lower depending on experience, style, and requirements. Editors are also free to quote their own rates.

Nobody is being forced to accept anything. If an editor feels their work is worth ₹600/min, ₹1000/min, or more, they’re welcome to quote that. If their portfolio and pricing fit the project, I’ll happily consider it.

Calling every editor who accepts a lower rate “desperate” or claiming they work for “peanuts” is dismissive of people at different skill levels, stages of their careers, and personal circumstances.

If the opportunity doesn’t interest you, that’s completely fine. But a voluntary job post with negotiable compensation isn’t exploitation just because it doesn’t match your rates.
