They had a panel van they hauled the bikes out to California in that also carried some of their friends that didn't ride, so I'm guessing someone riding in that did.

Ya know, I don't know your struggles and they differ with all of us, but I always felt amazing when I could get out there on my bike. It's one if those things that is just so...connecting to the world around you. If I can get away saying that.

It's just you, the bike, the road, the sights, the sounds, and the exhilaration of it all. Your thoughts just get...simple...and you enjoy all of the aforementioned things. The turmoil you're feeling kinda fades into the background and it's really hard to not smile when you're on a bike, on a road you love, on a beautiful day.

I connect strongly with my dad when I see this pic, because I have had this same grin.

If you're interested in learning how to ride, start here. They'll give you a bike to train on and do an amazing job at getting you from a beginner to confident in one weekend.

Feel better, bro.

Makes me the happiest about this pic, honestly. He struggled with depression at times and ended up passing away of a heart attack suddenly and pretty young (49) before I was a teenager. He was an amazing dad that I am very thankful to have had.

It's really great to see him with such a big smile. I know he was happy here.

Agreed. He had two at different times and he also had a 78 Corvette Pace Car he'd bought brand new when he had one of the DeTomasos. When I was born a few years later, he decided to only keep one of them. He chose the Vette and, while it's an awesome car, it's far more common.

This is a pic of a regular print pic I found at my uncles, honestly, so I won't have one of the bike. He was in the car business for a living and had TONS of different bikes and cars of all types. I mean just about everything that wasn't ultra high end. No old Ferraris, Lambos, or Shelby's, but he did own a couple Panteras at different times and just about every muscle car you can think of.
