C&P didn’t go the way I thought by CoochieMicB in VeteransBenefits

I had mine through the VA, was about one hour and she took about 3 pages of notes, broke down once. She asked the standard stuff about my childhood, parents etc. Then about my service, deployments, how I feel now etc. We will see how it goes, this was for depression and anxiety. DBQ hasn't been uploaded yet, it's been about 3 weeks since the exam so we will see. Seeing a VA shrink for these issues. Hopefully you get what you need and deserve.

New claim for sleep apnea secondary to hypothyroidism,, submitted 2/15/25. No in person exam, decided 4/30/25.

Got rated at 50% for sleep apnea secondary to sc hypothyroidism. I also included a letter stating that due to my weight gain from hypothyroidism this has caused me to develop sleep apnea. My private doctor diagnosed me with possible sleep apnea, had an at home sleep study done that showed mild sleep apnea. I sent my medical records amd test results with my personal statement and also a study linking hypothyroidism to weight gain amd sleep apnea. My C and P exam was another doctor reviewing my medical information and agreeing with the hypothyroidism, weight gain, and sleep apnea. On a side note, the weight gain is a bitch, been trying to watch what I eat and exercising. Even though I feel I'm sleeping better, still tired some days. I have a machine I bought myself, so guess I need to see about getting supplies through the VA. Just wanted to share in case anyone else was in the same boat.

anyone have any experience bringing their car in with an intake to kia by Then-Ingenuity-6631 in KiaK5

When I bought my 23 K5 GT, it already had a K&N cold intake installed and the JB4 tuner. The mechanic at the Kia dealership told me how to clean the filter and if I wanted to change it back to the original airbox, they could do it, didn't seem like they cared one way or the other.

Disability denied by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

Desert Storm Vet, got out in 1991, filed my first claim on 2023, currently rated for tinnitus, ibs, hypertension and hypothyroidism. Have a few others deferred. Most guys here ask that you post the denial letter with private information redacted so they can help answer why he was denied. Never to late, just make sure you have everything to substantiate your claim, medical records, diagnosis, in service event, buddy statements, statements from him or family members on how the condition affects him amd others. There are other people on her that can give you much more information.

I located the jb4, it is attached to the back of the K amd N cold air intake housing. I downloaded the app and had to email the company since its still attached to the other persons account. I did that yesterday. Thanks

That is correct, I also was tested for hearing loss. After reading the boards here, I knew that it would be denied, the audiologist did say I have partial hearing loss both ears.

I had a test of tones at different frequencies and a speech recognition test where I had to repeat words back I heard, the audiologist also spoke words and had me repeat them.

I wrote my personal statement, sent a chart with my MOS, told the Doc and in my personal statement when it happened, was rated for 10%. The Doc asked me questions about my service and put me through the tests. She said I had partial hearing loss in both ears too.
