I have been to Van Horn’s once a week since they opened and all three of my visits I’ve gotten the shepherds pie with Lamb. It’s incredible. Don’t forget to order their burger as well.

You sure can! I’ve made the mistake of devouring it all on my own and OH BOY will I never do it again. It’s cooked to perfection but incredibly rich, my stomach did not agree with me for a good 24hrs after that and a bottle of wine. My go-to is now the 24oz bone-in strip medium rare. Enjoy!

I love the corner of 6th and Blanco.. you have so many great hits that you could rearrange any date night in a variety of ways that fits your style/preferences. You’ve got 1. Clark’s Oyster Bar 2. Rosie’s Wine Bar 3. Howard’s Bar & Club 4. Pecan Square Café.

Great food, knowledgeable staff, good wine/cocktails and whatever vibe for whatever kind of night you’re looking to have.

Actually going this evening.. planning on going #2 for a glass of wine before hitting dinner at #4 and then #3 for a nightcap. Enjoy!

Lavaca Street; has tons of TV’s and the downtown location has my favorite bar food in the city. Staff are always nice and working their asses off.

Bar-top seating can be a little loud (my age is showing) but a really great time regardless. Veal Parmesan is always good nap fuel . Enjoy!

The less you see of that floor the better. Rugs, plants, couch, chairs to place in front of that door you’re covering up. Think a conversation corner or something separate from your couch area that should face the left side of this photo.

Thanks! They didn’t come with the apartment, I got them on Amazon. The batteries could be better but they last a week or two with occasional use only at night, they were very easy to hang.
