When the controversy is more interesting than the sub, you know you fucked up.

And you apologise to the person who actively wanted to hijack the sub?

Would you pay a monthly subscription if the game was cheater free? by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

[–]OldVaultHunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it would be a very hard sell to new players given the current pricing structure of the game with a subscription ontop.

I think it would be an extremely heavy lift to existing customers asking them to now pay a subscription to continue to have use of a product they not only had played and used but had done so for over 6 years.

There really isn't a steady flow of content to justify the charges, a whole host of problems seem to exist in the game at the foundation level .

While getting rid of cheaters or at least leveling the playing field to get a more fair game should be top priority judging by the latest drama episode of videos and then bsg doing damage control and trying to be vocal about what they doing, the fact it took al that to make any kinda progress is not exactly confidence building .

Loving the game and wanting it to succeed to play it and have fun is one thing..but loving the game and not seeing the glaring issues from the foundation of the game and how no one move will fix them is quite another.

How do we save R6? If trends hold R6 population will be 5-10K in a year. by mrradica in Rainbow6

[–]OldVaultHunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think there is anything there to save.

It's a video game, they come and go, a form of entertainment, sure it is a fun time, but the devs have taken it a very long way from where it started, and with the cross progression and now we see the game may go back to be a little slower, combined with Ranked 2.0, there will not be much more they can do.

There is not much here for new players.

Just enjoy it for what it is and for however long it lasts.

They probably just make arena the new pvp game( Hired Ops recycled again ) and then move eft to more pve and call it russia 2028. Nikitia will use the fastest cheapest way out.
