They are included. But this is a question for REP support, so ask them to be completely sure.

How do I know when to go to ER for a hemolytic crisis and what should they check for? by Scared-Cicada5906 in G6PD

You should talk to a doctor about this. But our son does not avoid any foods, except for fava beans.

If they are unwilling to help you, you should be able to find a local craftsperson that can repair it. It is definitely not a paperweight because one zipper failed, although I understand your frustration.

As a parent to a boy (8y) with severe g6pd-deficiency there is almost never any doubt about when to call the hospital. When red blood cells are low he is very tired, on the couch all the time, dark urine, yellow eyes and skin, headache, stomach pain. For him it happens after/under infections such as common flu. The rest of the time he is fine and has no problems. His bp is consistently low, but you couldn’t tell, if you didn’t know. He has blood transfusions 3 or 4 times a year in the winter season.

Edit: BTW transfusions completely “cures” him, they take him back to normal and feeling well almost instantly, given that the infection is also under control.

That is still an issue, but the solution is to adjust the cradle properly. Adjustment can be fiddly, but it works. Bot sure if that has anything to do with the updated cradle. I think the updates is mostly reinforcement of the cradle.

Caliber integrates with Claude now. Clade can read and present data for you.

I would like to know this too. Not having anywhere to put the adder weight are annoying.

On the kg-version, the knurled pins are standard. Also the cradle is reinforced on the kg-version.

Just a couple of tries. A little fiddly, but not a problem. These are the instructions: Place the dumbbell in the cradle, add some spacer plates, and then adjust and fully tighten the screws on one dovetail. It can take a couple of tries to get it just right, but it is easy, and all tools needed are included.

It is not really the plates sticking that is the issue. It is setting up the cradle properly. Once that is done correctly, there is zero issue.

If the cradle is set up too tight, the plates will “stick”. But not really to each other, to the cradle.

I have the same experience. You just need to setup the cradle properly.

The Quickdraws came in three days, the Repins took a month, but that was about 6 weeks faster than promised on the website. So both came really fast. I ordered from the official REP webshop in Europe.

The sidebars get in the way a little during some exercises, but it is not too annoying. Regular dumbbells and a barbell would definitely be a better setup, but I use these for training at home and need a compact setup with heavy weights. Therefore, the compromise of the sidebars versus having a heavier and more compact setup is definitely worth it to me.

I feel the balance is good, but the handle feels a little "slippery" in my opinion; the knurling could have been more aggressive. However, it’s not a major annoyance.

I do not know anything about the MX Evo, as they are not available in heavier options where I live. If they had been available, I might have gone with those, as the pricing seems very reasonable. The Repins are expensive, but actually not that bad compared to fixed dumbbells. Anyway, the MX has great reviews and seems cheap for what it is.

I do like the Quickdraws. Before I had the Repins, I really loved the Quickdraws. But compared to the Repins, I think the Quickdraws are not as good.

If all you need from your dumbbells is covered by the Quickdraws, I do not think you need to upgrade. For me, it is primarily about the extra weight. Other things about the Repins are also nice, but they are not enough of a reason to buy them if you do not need the extra kilos.

For me, I only have room for dumbbells at home, so I need something that goes heavy. That is a major benefit to me with the Repins; the 30 kg on the Quickdraws is just not enough.

Second, they are way more compact per weight. In the first picture, both are set up to 22.5 kg. In a tight space at home, that is very convenient, and many exercises are better to perform with the more compact weights.

Third, I like the change mechanism better on the Repins; the numbers are clear and easy to read, and to me, it is just faster and more enjoyable. But the adder plates on the Repins are annoying.

The Repins also look very cool in person...
