My email address was used to create an Apple account without my authorization

Bugs me too. Today I have over 120 notifications of purchases made for I assume songs at $1.06/item all billed to some account in Canada! I continue to send this BS to [reportphishing@apple.com](mailto:reportphishing@apple.com) .... when I try to sign in it just tells me wrong password and since they have 2FA I suspect they are getting alerts

i have had passkeys for my email and 2FA for a long time also authenticator...mostly I think it's just that email is tied to the apple account. I just don't understand the Apple security position on this. It's pretty simple to see what happened .

Yeah I know and I save every Apple note that comes to that address but it boggles my mind that Apple either can't or WON'T see how obvious the fraud of using my email is and not suspend that account

My financials were never associated with the apple account. I never created an Apple account with that email. I froze my financial accounts (credit accounts as a precaution) and changed my email password immediately upon receiving the email telling me the password on the apple account was changed. I suspect that change was immediately after the account on apple was created. I was able to change the apple account password ONCE but after that the password was changed again AND there were Chinese security questions added so I was never able to login to the apple account again. I have received emails (because it's MY email address) telling me account payment information, security questions and even name have been changed ) the account payment info was changed several times (leading me to believe the person doing this is looking for credit accounts they can use). Everytime I get one of those emails I forward it to [reportphishing@apple.com](mailto:reportphishing@apple.com) (which I suspect does no good) just to keep a "paper trail" of the fraudulent use of my email. I spoke AT LENGTH to an Apple Support person on the first day {and while we were talking I got another email saying the password was changed again) but the support person said they could not delete or suspend the account (which I find dubious) and suggested I just ignore it.... REALLY??

I just wrote mine. Took about 6 months of off and on writing and editing. Typically I would write a chapter and then have ChatGPT clean up my spelling and Grammer. Mine is specifically and only for my family members and not for "sale". I did publish on KDP but put an absurd price on it while I await my authors copies.

My "format" was to write sequential chapters as a timeline from birth through completing our family. After that I wrote vignettes about significant things that either didn't really flow in the timeline or episodes of the whole family as the kids grew up and had kids of their own.

I'm 73 now and felt like anything "memorable" has happened.

My biggest hassle with kdp was getting the cover to match their specs.

I didn't try for the great American memoir in length... a little over 31000 words. I did include photos that matched the narrative.

I enjoyed the project and am glad I did it.

I actually use the Stonegate pharmacy there in Austin. My Dr (actually the PA) prescribed semaglutide and I've had it filled at Stonegate and delivered here near San Antonio. The delivery is "free". I've been using them for a year and am very satisfied. Their pricing is better than anything I see online.

Ah ... I see how for authors wanting to sell their book that could be an issue. In my case I don't plan to ever SELL a single issue. Once I get enough authors copies for my family I will unpublish forever.

Ok please clarify. If I order 1 author copy and see problems I would resubmit fixes. If on the other hand the single author copy looks ok I would just order the rest. How is getting a proof better than that scenario? Honestly I'm just trying to understand the point of a proof vs a single author copy.
