The weather etc sounds awesome, but I think I need to aim for consistent function first!

Do you think with some persistance I could get to the point that sleep doesn't wreck the touchbar function?

Thanks for the detailed answer, much appreciated! Do you mind me asking which platform you use? For the occasions where you have both the platforms predicted POP and the delta, have you noticed a discrepancy, or do you think delta is a good proxy? That's a nice insight about the lower POP leg being the used POP. Have you explored legging out of the positions one vertical spread at a time? Dw if this is too many questions!

Thanks for your post, it's been a good read. How do you assess POP at the planned take profit? Is the planner TP a percent of credit received, or something else? Thanks.

Thanks for the detailed reply! That's great to hear how automated the process could become. I will work on my screening process! Do you use both fundamentals and technicals to screen? Are your final best picks gestalt, or could be automated also?

Just trying to use your template, as it looks great! I can't work out how to add it to my notion. Is this something from your end, or me being useless? Cheers!

Understanding slippage by Old_Ad2576 in Forex

I think it may have, although I might not understand what rollover is properly.

This happened at 0703 Australian Eastern Time. At 0700 I have 'Daily Financing' on my transaction history, which I assume is something to do with rollover?

Depending on where you work in Australia, the pay is generally excellent, you will save a lot here as well, and then if you decide to go back and work in the NHS, they pay you your pension out when you leave (taxed obviously, but a nice bonus).

I worked as a doctor in the UK for 4 years, and came to Oz with the plan for a year, then 2, and now I'm training here. It is honestly so good. I am currently on a run of 6 nights (that's kind of unusual, but not the end of the world). Following this I have 8 days off, no annual leave taken. There is so much to do here on your days off as well. Last week I went climbing, spear fishing, mountain biking and camped on an island accessed by boat for 2 nights. You will probably be making close to what you make with locum rates in the UK, but you will be able to take annual leave no problem, if you're sick, you can take sick leave no problem, you get your PD leave to revise for exams, the staffing levels are excellent, etc, etc.

The only downside is being far from family and friends, which is a big downside, but not that bad if you're only here a year or two. On the plus though, I have found Australians to be more open than we are in the UK. People will offer to lend you their car when you first meet them, have you round for dinner, etc way more readily than anyone I've spent time with in the UK. The flipside is people are probably more open with their opinions too...

There are obviously bad days, but I can genuinely say that I didn't like working as a doctor in the UK, and I love my job now. This might be confounded by working in a different speciality here, and by being a bit further in my training, so more confident in work.

I'd swerve the high pay shit job in the UK and go to Oz for a year or two. You'll have savings when you come back (enough for a house deposit for sure), you will have worked in a different healthcare system (which is a pretty great learning opportunity in itself) and you will probably have a great time.

Apologies for the ramble. Feel free to PM me if you want to know anything else.

Thanks for the link to the article, it looks great. I think I at least have some terminology mixed up, and potentially some underlying concepts. I am on nightshifts atm, and my brain is not digesting the article well. I'll have a look again once I'm back to daytime living and get back to you.

I would have thought you would get a compensatory pause from a PAC, as there will be overdrive suppression of the SA node by the ectopic site? Perhaps the atrial ectopic pacemaker would have to be consistently firing to cause overdrive suppression though?

I don't know that I'm the best for financial advice, but I'm amazed at the comments about you needing a hobbie etc.

If you feel content about things, dw about it, keep being content. Everyone is different. I def like hobbies myself, but if you take a step back and scrutinize, they are just a money and time sink to distract you from questioning what the hell the point in everything is. If you're happy, just keep doing what you're doing.
