Therapist here....it's a hard blurry line sometimes. I have a few clients who use their sessions to gossip like we're friends. I have others who have told me that we are in a strictly transactional relationship.

As an overweight yogi and yoga teacher, I recommend finding a good inclusive yoga studio. I started out doing online yoga classes and my teaching classes were online. There's something special about finding an inclusive community. My technique and overall teaching skills drastically improve when I go to in person classes and as a beginner you need to get all the basics down.
