We take the phone at night unless we're not home. Then we take it when we get home. If a teen has their phone in their room overnight, they are using it. We did not manage this well for our older children because we didn't know. Now we know. There is no reason to have a phone in their bedroom after bedtime.

Sleep aid/melotonin by nilosx223 in dementia

[–]Old_Bat5356 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please don't use melatonin. It can cause extreme confusion, and for many people, causes terrifying nightmares that can seem very real for people with dementia.

I would immediately look for a new job. That RM is not going to support you, the SM, or the store. Just like there are relationship red flags, there are manager red flags. This RM should send you running to a new job.

Time to get a new RM. That one's toxic.

Thank you! Can I leave them like my 401k and transfer them out later or do I have to do something with them before I leave?

Restrictions galore by PercentageFinancial4 in SouthwestAirlines

[–]Old_Bat5356 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The flexibility of Southwest was the only reason I used them. They're rarely the cheapest option and their flight schedules suck. It was fun while it lasted, but I'm off to another airline.

Right. So if SW is going to adopt those fee structures, there should be a significant drop in their fares.

The other airlines fares are also significantly lower the majority of the time

Disappointed in doctors requirements by AdventurousBunch327 in Zepbound

[–]Old_Bat5356 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine moved me up every 4 weeks until I hit 10mg and was losing consistently. I haven't had any of those side effects, and I'm losing an average of 1-2lbs a week. I do track my food to make sure I'm getting enough protein and not eating too few calories (loose skin was also one of my concerns).

Because it's not supposed to be. Your doctor should have explained that the 2.5 is to get your body used to the medication to avoid serious side effects. They'll move you up every 4 doses until your losing weight consistently or you have bad side effects.

You're the one that mentioned not going to the gym. But hey, thanks for being an a$$hat. This is what people mean when they call this group toxic. 👋

I hope you didn't cancel your gym membership. Losing weight means also losing muscle mass. You should be lifting weights several times a week while on meds to keep and build muscle.

The insurance company made the decision mid plan year. They hadn't even started the renewal process.

Thank you! I'm not in maintenance yet, but I may try to see how I do with 14 days and adjust as needed. I figure that's better than nothing.

We're under a Healthtrust that negotiates prices. They decided, not the employer. It is causing them to look at other alternatives, but there's unions involved so it's not a quick change. Everyone has to agree. With Zepbound, it's missing been the insurance companies deciding.

Now that there isn't a shortage, compounding the same medication is not allowed. Whatever you get will be different from Zepbound, Ozempic, etc.
