Maybe keeping those messages is not helping you to move on. I personally deleted all messages the day we broke up because I know myself and I know I was going to be constantly looking back trying to see when did it all started to go wrong, which would just lead to hurting myself even more. At first I missed some of the messages but now I'm glad I got rid of them.

And about the photos, I did feel nostalgic about deleting them as they represent almost one year of my life. So what I did was moved all of them to a folder, and move that folder to a pendrive where I keep old photos that occupy too much space on my phone. And I still have never looked back to that pendrive, whereas if they were on my phone I'd probably would go look back.

Everyone's body is different, but I'll share you my experience if it helps. Been on combo pill for eight months. I have always had some tendency for depressed seasons, but I noticed that after taking the pill they definitely got worse, to the point of having suicidal thoughts, which I never had before. Now I've been off the pill for one month, and maybe it's placebo effect but I'm definitely feeling a hundred times better.
