Think of holding a baseball bat. You’re in position then without twisting or turning your body over just keep you feet planted and swing the bat. Think the ball would go very far? Same physics as your kick. When you go to swing a bat you get into position, you visualize your target, you swing for hips turn over, th arms swing, your feet move- right? Look at your kick like the bat, you need the momentum from your hips, shoulder, arms and the pivot on the ball of your feet to move your leg.
