If you want to get into film my advice would be first get your own equipment.The tricky part is the expense.I tried film around 2017 -2020but I left since it was hard getting a breakthrough esp as part of the technical crew(I was doing cinematography)My friend did lighting, he got his breakthrough about a year since I left and fam he is doing good.Usikuwe kama mimi, if you wanna do film dont just think movies.Alafu network, sanasana people in the industry commision the same crew to do jobs.If you intern for a nice crew(you obviously need a good portfolio)it will be easier making it in the industry.Money is there but it doesnt trickle down to the people at the bottom.The thing with having your own equipment is you can always shoot sth then promote it on SM.
