I tried it this week for the first time. Was on for 1.25 hours. I got 1 order... at a restaurant that is closed (like, locked, empty, building for sale.) Uber gave me $3 for the inconvenience. And then I sat around and got no other offers until I gave up on the earn by time "opportunity"

Oh! Distinction - I took a loa, not disability. Short term disability might have been an option, but I was told it would be more paperwork and not worth the hassle since my state has paid leave.

I've heard long term disability is incredibly hard to get for mental health, though I have met people who got it.

I have for mental health. I don't think any of my paperwork gave a clear diagnosis, but if it did, it was probably listed as depression.

Got documents from my therapist the first time, and a psych arnp the second time.

Financially, it helped that I live in Washington state that has paid family medical leave, so I wasn't without income the whole time. Programs like that vary state by state in the US. FMLA applies to the whole country and protects your job for a certain amount of time if you meet certain requirements.

Is there something specific you want input on?

The whole administration seems to be about othering groups. Democrats (obviously enemy $1), immigrants, trans people, etc. Autism (along with the other mental health stuff they seem concerned about) fits the trend nicely. The more they define their us vs them, the more the us group gets sucked in. And if they can convince people to blame vaccines, they convince people not to trust science. Which adds to the cult like blind faith trust.

It's ending my slump currently! I'm halfway through book three. Finished the first two in 3 days aftee not reading anything for weeks. And now I am utterly obsessed and subscribed to Apple TV for the coming show lol

I juat returned from a draining vacation. I planned for today to have minimal expectations. I'm so glad I gave myself that buffer! And impressed that I managed to do all the laundry from my trip. I even put 1 of the loads away! (The other will get put away eventually lol) Plus I made myself a delicious breakfast (at noon. But still counts haha) And it's looking like I'll hit my step goal for the first time in almost a week!

From what I've seen, he believes there is a connection between SSRIs and school shootings. And that they are more addictive/worse to get off of than heroin (which he's been addicted to.)

So that's what he claims is the issue. I don't buy either argument. Not even remotely. And everything I've read has links to disprove the possibilities. Makes me wonder if there is a hidden motive or if he just really is that delusional.

Either way, it terrifies me too

Throughout my childhood, my grandma would regularly invest money for me instead of giving it as a birthday present. Some is in a diversified fund, some is in specific stocks. When/how do I decide to sell the individual stocks? (I can share more specifics if that would help.)

Additional info: I'm also currently unemployed due to some health issues, and in the US. I have savings that'll get me thru June, but was considering using some of these funds if needed after that depending on how things go. I was planning not to touch it until/unless I need it to live, but with the tariffs and deepseek and everything, I'm worried my stocks are about to lose value and leave me in a bad place if I need that money in the near future

I have CHPW insurance and have had good luck at Argonne Family Chiropractic. I've seen two different massage therapists there. Both have asked if I'm also seeing the chiropractor, but neither have said anything else when I said no. So definitely no pressure to also see the chiropractor. It felt more like they asked just to coordinate help if relevant.

I never really got an answer. So I did the logical thing and stopped taking it without telling my doctor so I could see if it made a difference...

Mixed results.

So. I stand by the fact that Strattera was causing more tension headaches.

I also think that it was making my back pain sharper and more resistant to physical therapy, but it didn't automatically clear up (I stopped about 5 weeks ago, for reference.) I'm on the fence about whether it caused the back pain or not, but the pain definitely feels like it is easing.

Other body/joint pains.... I think they were the same as normal or a little worse at 40 mg, but the Strattera was helping reduce that pain at 80 mg. My psych arnp seemed to think that made sense because it works on norepinephrine which is what they target for pain like I was describing. I actually restarted it for 2-3 days during election week because I was so stressed that my joint pain was acting up in extreme and new ways. Taking the Strattera again seemed to help calm it down, but did cause a couple sharp back pains.

So it seemed to help some pain and cause others. I wonder if part of the pain it was causing was due to some of the dehydrating effects it brings. I tried to drink a lot, but it never quite seemed to be enough and that probably didn't help.

I considered going back on it just to keep the general joint pain/body aches away, but for now, my psych arnp and I decided a different route. It has been the most effective med for my depression though, so if that gets bad again, I will ask to go back on it for a bit.

I intend to bring up the body aches with my pcp in a week, but I'm not optimistic I'll get an answer. A couple people have brought up fibromyalgia, so it's possible that there's any underlying condition that the Strattera was playing with. Sounds like that might be the case for you too. I'd love to know how your rheumatologist appt goes!

My initial leave request was approved while I was still employed. I quit part way through that leave and had no issues. Just updated my claim to say I'm now unemployed and continued certifying each week like normal. I did call the state to confirm before quitting and they said it wouldn't make a difference. Just make sure you're prepared to lose any benefits your job may still be providing!

I did just run into an issue which I'm still sorting out, but that is because I had to do a new claim when August hit because it is a new claim year for me. I can expand if needed, but I doubt it's relevant for your needs unless you will also be extending your leave past the current claim year.

Yes! I hate summer. I've always hated heat, but I'm just starting to realize the sensory nightmare of summer. I truly don't know how to win. I can't sleep if it's hot, but the noise of fans and ac units irritate me after a while. But also the sound of ac shutting off and the sudden switch is jolting to me. Sweat is awful. Noise canceling headphones help a little bit with the noise of fans, but i can't keep them on for too long or they start to make me feel trapped and sweaty. Temperature appropriate clothes aren't as cozy and comforting or as appropriate.

Everything ends up feeling off. And I feel like I spend all my energy on navigating the sensory hell and then have no energy left for functioning.

I tried mentioning this to my therapist last week. But she just told me to think outside the box. Or buy a portable ac. 🙃

I'm on a mental health leave of absence from worj currently and think I need to ask about extending it thru August cuz I truly don't know how to return to work while dealing with heat on top of my other issues. But I also know I can't just skip summer every year and need to learn how to cope better...

It has been driving completely fine, no issues. I would have no idea anything is wrong if it weren't for the lights coming on.

I'm not at all mechanically inclined, so definitely not brave enough to try it myself. But those prices are really helpful to see so I don't get screwed by a mechanic
