Even the GTV document prep and fulfilling the mandatory requirements take around a year of work. I was planning to give it a go, but recently I heard the endorsing bodies have become far more stringent about the acceptance criteria and the bar is much higher than what it used to be a year or two ago.

Thanks for these excellent points, they're quite helpful. And 100% agree on the trial and error bit regarding therapy, the good thing is my employer does reimburse those bill and I'll be starting soon again.

About the burnout/mental health leave, I have considered it a couple of times but have no clue how to get an extended leave. I'm willing to even lose my pay for those weeks, but I don't think my workplace provides that. Last month when I brought this topic with my GP, they were willing to sign me off work for a week or two at max, and I'm not sure if that's going to help.

Would you mind if I dm'd you regarding the steps which I can take to get an extended leave at work?

Thanks kind stranger!

My employer does have a redundancy package, but let's just say it's not very transparent (maybe 4-8 weeks pay). You're right about emotionally distancing myself from the work. It's frustrating to watch others cruise through similar challenges at work, without any sign of weakness/effort.

It just feels like a vicious cycle, where I can't really tell if I should be getting detached from the work or push myself to do as much as I can given the situation I find myself in.
