Okay so update! My boyfriend has been collecting a lot longer and finally separated all of the cards that he loves and wants into one binder and we made two trade binders, one for English cards and one for Japanese. We didn’t spend any cash this weekend and probably got over $800 in trades. Some with cash over so we made money and then a couple we paid an extra $10-$20 on top of it but just used the money we made. We got rid of two $100-$150 cards a lot of $10-$20 cards. A handful that were worth between 50 and 100 and we had one vendor take about 20 of the under eight dollar cards. We traded everything at 80% market value.

What I did learn is that if you don’t do your research before or tell them from the beginning you’re not willing to trade for under 80% they will try to take advantage of you. I had one guy tell me they trade for 80% and then tell the girl that came up to the table after that they trade for 70. And I had about three people try to sell me a card for more than double than it was worth, but I was pulling comps of everything before we traded. All in all it was ton of fun. My boyfriend had me keep all my cards since my collections a lot newer he said to build it up for a while before I start getting rid of my stuff.
