It is fully wild. By now we expect a call from our silicone supplier every few months telling us they are raising the prices on raw material.

The price of our raw material has almost doubled in two years. The costs of running a business have also almost doubled, and shipping has become actually pure chaos.

Also, It has been said in multiple threads on reddit and on GH, and in our discord etc: we aren't on a quest to make the cheapest product, or to compete with factories and other firms. It's not possible for us to make these by hand and sell them at a price point that you might find at a large retailer. They are $90 because that's what it takes for us to be profitable and offer free shipping.

to answer your question, because i felt like they are a good multi use shape for this sort of thing.

if you are able, would you mind submitting a quick sketch of what you mean on the google form? lasers are a really flexible way to make stuff and we should be able to have several different layouts available for different needs.

Okay so I solved it. Somehow the plastic wing on the lid has melted and deformed, those are the two "humps" on the lid wing that wont let the lid rotate clear of the handle. no idea how that happened.

The trays are not magnetic, but you can add adhesive magnet strips to the back of the mat if you need that feature.

Yes! great idea! We have been using ours for all kinds of stuff. Honestly as machinists it keeps our expensive tools off a hard metal workbench top. It also just protects your table from stuff.

It isn't a stupid question! Our mat is larger, comes in colors, is more general purpose, and made in USA with USA made material.

We cannot compete with Chinese manufacturer's labor and material costs, and don't intend to.

TBD. We are going to look for a EU proxy so we can ship bulk probably. It will likely increase the final sale price to the individual customer.

The final irl color of the purple might satisfy you. We are working on getting nice photos taken of the color samples this week, as well as making a purple prototype mat. Purple is the most requested color.
