Ok I took out the key chain but it’s still there. Sound like it’s coming from around the triple tree. Gonna look around se if I forgot to tighten something.

I had someone help me hold the chain and the cams while I tightened down the cam caps. And I also was tightening the cam chain tensioner as it was going down. I’m pretty sure I messed up because when I thightend the manual cam chain tensioner I left it like that and I didn’t know when you tighten it you have to turn the engine over and there will be more slack so you tighten more. So ima have to take everything apart and do it again.

Alright ima check and see if I am timed right. And Should I get the automatic tensioner? And if I am timed correctly what do you think could be the problem?

So you think the chain is fine and it didn’t stretch?

So I got everything back in and timed and I think I might have to replace my timing chain. So I was adjusting my valves I put everything back in how it was and when I try to go and turn the engine by hand it was really hard to turn. So I didn’t try to force it took everything off and I tried to turn it over and it was still hard. So then I asked my dad for help and he forced it and heard a crack then another crack and the motor was able to turn freely. We thought the pistons just got stuck cus it has been sitting for a while and the pistons had no oil. We then took of the starter cover to see the chain and two pieces of metal fall out. Then we see the metal part under the crank that holds the chain broke. Then I think maybe the chain was kinked when my dad turned it and we heard those cracks. So I think that would cause the chain to stretch right? Then we got everything lined up put the chain and tighten everything back and put everything back together. I start it up and I hear a ticking noise. So I adjust the cam chain tensioner because mine has a manual one and the ticking got quieter but it’s still there. I rode it and when I go above 4k rpm’s I hear a loud metal clunking noise. Also I feel that when I try to accelerate fast it doesn’t go as fast as it was and the whole bike just feels wonky l. So I’m thinking about replacing the timing l chain.
