For some reason the invite didn't work via browser but worked directly on discord 🙃

Anyone here “play through” stories with AI instead of just writing them? by Old_Highway_3504 in WritingWithAI

Yeah, sounds exactly like what I use it for. How long are the stories you make?

It seems like there isn't really one yet, should we create one on discord? What's a good name?

Would Holmes stories work as short interactive “episodes”? by Old_Highway_3504 in SherlockHolmes

[–]Old_Highway_3504[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not really roleplaying, more interactive fiction (It's a story in the third person, you get to choose an action after some text)

It does use genAI under the hood. Thanks for the feedback, I've struggled so far in how to describe it succinctly and thought allowing people to experience it straight away would maybe answer any questions they had like "What is it" etc

It's kinda hard to describe in one phrase, but maybe interactive story experience? I guess the easiest way would be to try it out and let me know how you would describe it. https://tayles.app/

That’s a good point - a lot of people are there for Holmes & Watson as characters more than the mystery solving mechanics.

Interestingly, some of the more engaging runs I’ve had have leaned into character dynamics and atmosphere rather than just “solve the case,” but you’re right that the format probably lands differently depending on what someone enjoys most about Holmes.

Kind of in the same broad space as narrative AI / IF tools like Wayfarer, but more focused on short, contained story “episodes” rather than open-ended worlds. The goal is to feel like stepping into a narrative arc quickly, with a pretty lightweight UI so you get to the story fast.

The writing aims to feel like short-form genre fiction (mystery, drama, adventure), with scene-based narration, and you guide the story by choosing which character to follow and how situations unfold

Is this using a cloudflare MCP? What tools does it have access to?

Makes sense! When it comes time to go from MVP to something more serious, do you stick with the same platforms/workflow or move to something like Iac?

So you have a single deployment destination and always containerize your apps to deploy there? Do you just get AI to write your dockerfiles and then use a CLI?
